Re: The Empire Big Screen
Okay so my Big Screen experience so far:
Arrived at the O2 at 4.30 to pick up my competition win (standard tickets) and try to prebook my sessions so we won't have to queue a crazy amount of time tomorrow. Around 5pm they eventually figured out that I wasn't on the winners list and they were not so silently scolding the PR agency as I had not been the first one with this problem. Thankfully I had printed off the e-mail I received about my win which I was able to show as proof and in return I received 2 Diamond (!!!) tickets. When asked if I could prebook my sessions I initially got told no. When I said that I knew of someone who had been able to they instantly apologised and told me to get back at 6.
I got back at 6, it took them nearly half an hour again to sort me out but I got the tickets I wanted! Which are: Empire film critic panel, Animals in movies and the Crazy Stupid Love preview screening. If I had asked they would've given me tickets for other things as well, they weren't limiting me to 3 or 4 sessions as the other tickets do. They were really super lovely at the box office, especially a woman named Cassy (good name to know if anyone has a problem they need sorting out).
The diamond tickets are allocated seating, so no queuing at all necessary, the movie/other tickets are all GA so while no need for a crazy amount of queuing, if you want a good seat it might be worth it to rock up earlier than 5 minutes before it starts.
Note: The reason I had to come back at 6pm was because they were printing off all tickets for the next day (they had stacks and stacks of them by the time I returned). My guess is that they hand them over to people on first come first serve basis to prevent big queues in front of the screen. So it's worth to check at the box office early in the morning.
For Saturday the Secret Screening and the as of yet unannounced preview that runs from 9pm-11pm are sold out. The rest is *I think* all still available.
In between picking up my tickets and prebooking I went to Hollywood Boulevard and Studio City, which I recommend everyone to go to as it's awesome. I was very lucky that I got there when it was dead quiet (everyone was in screenings) as I could do/see everything without queuing. I got an awesome high quality photo print of myself (holding a lightsaber) with R2D2 and C3PO. I got Star Wars masks (free) for my brother. I loved the Sherlock Holmes 2 area (decorated as the inside and outside of 221B Baker Street) that plays the trailer to the new movie on a loop. I got photos with Mater from Cars and another movie (a boxing robot?) which I can find on Facebook tonight apparently. The Paramount booth in Cowboys and Aliens style is particularly awesome with a wheel of fortune (I won a pen from the movie) and a green screen where you can get your picture taking with Puss in Boots (Shrek), Cowboys and Aliens (Daniel Craig), Tin Tin or Footloose. I did Tin Tin and they printed it off and stuck it inside a plastic sleeve which they attached to a lanyard. Veyr neat. There's also Bond cars and costumes/monsters from famous movies as part of an exhibition from the Film Museum. I am sure that on the day there will be lots more to do as well as I really caught it all only a little bit before it was closing down for the day.

Re: The Empire Big Screen
If they were to come, there probably will be a lot of security at the cinema, and hopefully you'll get decent pictures and autographs but it is a bit unlikely that they'd both be there.aruif wrote:people are talking about kristen stewart and maybe rpattz being there tomorrow - i think utter twonk (is that a word?) but anyway... they better not be there without me anyway! :O

Okay, so I think I'm set for tomorrow.
I feel a bit like a kid going to Disneyland ... I'm not going to sleep tonight - LOL
Hope those of you going have fun and maybe I'll see some of you there.
Those of you that can't make it keep your eye on the thread and I'll try and post some updates throughout the day.
