Enjoy!

Are you going somewhere nice and sunny?

If not I will keep my fingers crossed that the weather in the UK improves!!!

Off to the Nokia Skate Almighty at Tower Bridge......

Taking my daughter and eleven of her friends - I must be absolutely mad!!!! They are all 13 years old so hopefully it shouldn't be too traumatic.

As I am not skating, I must remember to take a decent book to read although I suspect I will be too busy holding bags, taking photos etc!

The things we parents have to endure.......

I didn't know whether it was ice-skating (I know it is unlikely, but if there are ski slopes in Dubai, anything is possible!) until I googled for this. :wall:

Take a camera as well as your book(s) - and maybe some arnica gel too for the bruises!

I'm sure it will be fun.

They all enjoyed themselves and as the daytime tickets were not fully booked out, they were able to skate for almost three hours - certainly glad I took my book!!

I can see that they will all be busy tomorrow uploading the various photos......

Oh Spanner, you have reminded me of something I love about Ireland! Their food is yummy, and comes in enormous portions. I love their potato cakes and the boxty restaurant at the end of the ha'penny bridge used to be brill (but that was a long time ago....)

http://www.irelandseye.com/aarticles/cu ... boxty.shtm for info on boxty
http://www.boxtyhouse.ie/ might be the place I went to (several times!)
