And I am getting frostbite - one office is warm but the other, where I spend most of my time, freezing. How unhealthy!

I'm not a happy bunny. I had a phone interview yesterday for a 6 week job placement at a well known broadcaster. They called back shortly after my phone interview and told me that they'd chosen me for the role and that I would need to start tomorrow morning (being today). So, this morning, got myself ready and as I was about to walk out my front door, looked at my mob and realised I had a missed call from my agency. I returned the call and was told that the job had been CANCELLED due to 'a mix up'. No further explanation. My contact at the agency was very embarrassed and didn't know what else to tell me as she was also quite angry that they would do this and was surprised that I was taking it well. TBH, I was FUMING!! But, it was not her fault, it was the company's. This has been happening WAY too much to me recently. I hope and pray that I get a job soon. It's so disheartening
Preferred cinemas: All Central London: APOLLO Piccadilly, EMPIRE Leicester Sq; ODEONS: Leicester Sq/Covent Garden/West End/Whiteleys/Panton St; VUE: West End/Fulham/Islington, CINEWORLD: Haymarket/Shaftesbury Ave; Brixton Ritzy,
Then: Westfield, o2, Clapham

That's really appalling, priamia - I am sorry that you've been through this. It sounds as though you're taking it very well but I think the company owes you an apology, an explanation and some compensation.

Sorry to hear that Primia, but dont be disheartened, it may not seem obvious to you now but all this experience of getting knocks, just makes you mentally stronger. You seem to be determined girl, and you WILL get a job. Perserverence always conquors. Also, press the agency (firmly but not aggressively) to make up for their foul up (make them feel guilty even if it wasnt really their fault) and who knows this may turn out a blessing in disguise :)

Now get it out of your system and go play the Wii boxing game, beat the bejesus of it...!
