Pfft, who needs a lightsaber when you can have a nifty Rock of Ages lighter that doesn't work 99.99% of the time!

I saw Decade at Commodity Wharf last night:

http://www.decadeheadlong.com/

Hard to decide what to make of it. The setting is brilliant a former exchange floor converted into Windows of the World Restaurant at the World Trade Towers. The play is 3 hours long, but the staging and choreography is such you never feel bored. I couldn't exactly yawn as I had actors frequently jumping onto the table I was sitting next to (talk about an up close and personal view). But there's no narrative thrust, it's lots of little short plays interspersed with stories about how a group of surviving widows meet every year for the anniversary. You just wish they came up with something abit more structured, but it's an interesting watch 6.5/10

So just seen rock of ages for the first time, (yes i am that guy who hasnt seen it yet) and thanks to 4 crazy mad girls, CT,Celini, Val, and Funthing, i reckon i enjoyed the show a lot more through their utter zaniness! forget the show, those girls are insanely influencial...i mean when they scream, the rest of the audience follow suit. When they wave their arms with a funky led lighter torch, the rest of the audience do the same...seriously proud of them. 10 out f***ing 10 for the fmuk girls.

Well thats my review, tired now...oh wait i havent said anything about the show have I...what was that about then?

Oh yeah, the show, great entertainment :) plenty of eye candy for both boys and girls. While the ladies scream their heads off at the revealing of any male flesh or groping groins, i decide to restrain myself expressing my excitement during the strip club act...that...that was hard but i managed. rubs sweat off the forehead .

It was a relentlessly energetic and funny show. it was also pretty camp too i have to say ...really camp! but all good fun. the rock music was fun and well performed in their send up kind of way, sung in the mash-up style similar to moulin rouge. show was so relentless that there was only a few quiet monents which CT and the gang made sure wasnt too quiet ;)

This is the kind of show that would make a lively evening for a mixed group of friends or to take a date/girlfriend to. With that train of thought i give it

9/10 (I mean it has to take a really good show to get the audience standing up before the final curtain and getting f***ing wild without any prompting)

Oh and thanks for finding a nearby seat for me CT,Val,funthing, celini you girls...uh ROCK ;) oh and you should be pa*d for your roles in jazzing up the audience.
