I love Happy Endings and it got stronger with each season. The banter is sharp and witty. I was really disappointed when it got cancelled last week at the end of the third season.raj101 wrote:Just to balance out the grimness, also finished Happy Endings Season 1, which is basically Friends for the 21st century. Though HE starts really weak in the first episode, it gets better and better each ep, and I am now looking forward to Season 2.

The wife and i have been hitting 24 hard for the last 6 weeks and gone through 7 and a half series from LoveFilm ... a little out of touch i think, but everyone always raves about 24 being amazing so i thought we had better make the effort and watch it before the proposed season 9 comes out.

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
I watched British horror film 'Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection'.
Although the film was low budget and far from perfect, it was a solid and at times, gruesome film meriting its 18 certificate.
The film clearly is playing on the popularity of George A. Romero's seminal zombie film 'Night of the Living Dead' but this was far from simply being a rip off.

Breaking Bad: Season 1; working our way through the early episodes. Heavy going at the moment but oh so watchable.

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
Lie to me was such a great show - I really don't get why they cancelled it.
Over the weekend I watched the second ep of Murder on the home front, started season 6 of The Big Bang Theory (awesome), and watched first two eps of Arne Dahl (really good).

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
checking out Doctor Who, not really impressed.
Its not Matt Smith at fault, he a fun kind of guy to be tolerated if a bit too much of an obvious wanker at times.
Its not Amy Pond, because shes dead (yey) although oddly she died just when KG was starting to acquire a few acting skills. What a waste, why couldn't they have took her on in 2013 instead of when she wasn't up to the job 2 years ago? Instead we got 2 years stuck with her doing an impression of a middle schooler doing an impression of a CITV presenter.
Its certainly not Clara, GLC is a steal for the show, and its certain she will be leaving sooner rather than later for classier employment.
That leaves Moffat. Moffat is to blame, IMHO. He is the Tim Burton of TV, excessively creative but without the sense to form it into something wholesome.
Anyway, four more episodes to swim through for me before DW leaves the iplayer until the next series re-run starts up.

To be honest I haven't watched Doctor Who since David Tennants first series.....Always think its a shame that Christopher Ellison didn't hang round for longer !!raj101 wrote:checking out Doctor Who, not really impressed.
