I actually think it was longer than the film itself! It started around 5.15pm or so and went on to 7.45pm - the film was only 2 hours long!
I didn't realise they'd started it that early. I didn't get into the screen until just after 6. I wish the O2 had done what another cinema did and cut it off at 7.
The internet live streaming started at 4pm as I was watching (or rather listening as I read other tabs open) before leaving to go to the cinema. I thought alex zane was a bit better than the life in a day premiere.

While we were discussing how to get in, I spied canadian_turtle, as she got tickets from the same FMUKer, and we both only knew the person's first name but it was not enough, although finally they relented as the first name was on there although only two tickets against that name, so I told canadian_turtle and her plus one to go in, as Sunny Saver could get me and my OH in on her's and her OH's spares. Phew!
I ended up not going yesterday as I was feeling sick and had a headache. I'm glad I didn't, otherwise I'd have the same problem as you did.

I absolutely LOVED this. Agree with many before in that the use of 3D sucked at times, especially in the Forbidden Forest, and that the final showdown between Voldemort and Harry was somewhat anticlimatic, but WOW @ the general final battle. E.P.I.C :D

9/10!!

Like every1 else thought the whole red carpet thing went on a bit too long, suppose thats okay if you are actualy there we arrived early got great seats thanx to Yinster and Lisa (very kind of you guys) dont think i could have listened to OH much longer with regards to red carpet do so almost felt like clapping when the film did actualy start.... Harry Potter one of my favourite kidz series ever my 12 yr old grew up with it we got all the dvd's and we will defo be getting this next one the film was great it was tense, dark and thrilling it had humour but most of all it was a great end to a great series we will be p*ying to go and see this when my son comes back from Spain, shame we diddn't have time to hang around a bit afterwards but we left the kidz at grans and had to rush off home lol hopefully will get a wee catch up at the next cinema outing :D

10/10 from me GO SEE IT YOU WILL LOVE IT ;)

Surprised to find that there were plenty of empty seats down at the front despite the tickets all been sold out long ago. The red carpet bit went on and on and was totally boring after so many times that we were told we were going to see something spectacular - I needed to go out to the loo and didn't want to miss anything! What a let down!!

The film its self was very good but having only seen two of the films I was not so enraptured with it as my plus1 who thought it was fantastic.

I think the spoilers on this thread is overwhelming and I thinks it down to the dying need to talk about some great scenes in the films that we cant control ourselves! I just hope most of us already knew the story. I am desperate to talk about certain scenes to get out of my system but if we can help it guys, lets try to keep spoilers to a minimum. I have now written up my more comprehensible review which I am just posting up on IMDB as I dont want to bore people with it here.
But I really did choke up for the first time in this series at the tale of the half blood prince. I dreaded the moment when Snape bites the dust but damn was it brutal, even though David Yates cleverly shrouded the actual attacks by Nagini through the misty glass, I was still feeling the pain. Man, did Alan Rickman knock this one out of the park, the flashback scenes were very truncated from the book but his performance more than compensated and brought even more emotional impact than I could have anticipated. I wish though they had left out the "you have your mother's eyes" and just left it is "look at me" so we are still uncertain about Snape until the Prince's Tale sequence. But I understand they have to make these little changes for a good cinematic reason. I think the films reveal a little too much about Snape's true allegience than the books did so most people wont be very surprised at the revelation as we were with the books.

I loved the bigger dynamics of the movie battle than the lower scale one in the books. Loved the subtely of the 19 years later, Harry was very effectively aged and Ron humerously fattened up but what the heck is up with Hermione, did they forget to put the make up on her? Or is she on my recommended healthy lifestyle ;)

That's because he's "evil". Karma's a bitch.

I personally thought Ginny still looked like a 14 year old kid which was odd since they aged Harry rather well...

I need screencaps though, so see it more properly it all went very quick.
