I read twilight purely because it was vampires
It was far too romancy for me though
But once I start a book I have to finish it!

I managed to finish Limitless last night on my cloakroom shift.
The ending is nothing like the film :S
I actually liked the twist and think they should have included it in the film!

nope, I haven't read any Chris Ryan books. so far today I have read a fair few Philip K Dick's shorts in "The Minority Report and other stories", Ben Bova's "Duelling Machine", Susan Cooper's "Over Sea, Under Stone" and "The Dark is Rising" I'm debating whether to start the 3rd book in the Dark is Rising series or to go onto a different book entirely, I was thinking about a Pratchett but the next one's not due out until October and I've read the rest already...much as I don't mind re-reading good books I have tonnes that I haven't read before here so may just have to bite the bullet and start reading this stupendously long fantasy by Brandon Sanderson called "The Way of Kings" I've been putting it off because it's the same width as a normal paperback turned sideways and the height of a 2 paperbacks laid side by side plus it's 1001 pages long (if you don't count the end glossary etc) with a small font, and it's only book 1 in the series

A great read - continues the journey of John, Six and Sam from when they leave Paradise, Ohio. Introduces lots of new characters too,
I couldn't put the book down.

Normally I would stay away from slushy romance books but for some reason I've chosen my next read, a book by a new brand author who is just trying to get herself noticed in forums like this (goodreads in this case). Its about...Vampires, Titanic, time travel, and romance. Its the time travel element that piqued my interest, with Titanic and vampires thrown in the mix, my fingers automatically opened up kindle store, clicking b*y Now. So 2 chapters in, I'm actually enjoying it so far. I'm finding similarities with Buffy The Vampire Slayer. BUT the author makes a big mistake in making references to the Buffy series which threw me off. NEVER make a pop culture reference that relates too closely to your won book. I was thinking how similar it is to Buffy before it was mentioned, then she mentions it more than once, which threw me off.
Anyway, if I end up enjoying this book which so far looks promising, then you crazy twighlight fans are sure to enjoy it more!
Wait...who am I calling crazy? I am walking into an HMV store tomorrow dressed up as a Jedi knight brandishing a fully operational lightsaber...
