Re: Weight Watchers
Yes, indeed, well done Diane. 1lb is great, especially as you were on holiday. Perhaps it's indication that your lifestyle has changed so rather than being on a diet, as such, you're just eating better and exercising as part of normal life. Well done, that's a huge achievement! I think it also means that when you reach your target weight you can be confident it will stay off!

Re: Weight Watchers
hmm ok so today i have had:
1 muller rice
1 banana
ham, cheese, tomato sandwhih on seeded bread
..... 2 handfulls of malteasers (yes i know i know)
i have turned down the offer of curry for lunch though and other goodies at work.
i'm not currently measuring my weight as i'm doing a lot of weights at the gym, i'm currently being measured monthly by my pt. he's the only one allowed to do it (so he says) so i can report back how many cms/inches i've lost i guess! - my clothes are definitely fitting better and looser so that's a good start.

Re: Weight Watchers
Hi Everyone,
I was rather shocked to get back on the site this morning to find I had a pm from our lovely Diane stating that she hoped I hadn't been staying away - offended in some way because of the "Budgie Smuggler" reference she had made about me. LOL - as if? - I can take a joke you know!!
The reason for my absence is far less exciting and interesting than me taking offence at something - I snapped the USB connector off my computer's wireless adaptor thing by dropping something heavy on top of it during a long overdue tidy up session of my desk and study.
And...I'll have you know that my swimmers would in any case be more "Eagle Smugglers" than "Budgie Smugglers"
I've only been away for a few days, but loads of stuff seems to have happened whilst I've been incommunicado:
Firstly, Massive Congratulations to Anakin on her Exciting and rather splendid Baby Anakin News!
Secondly, Welcome Back from your hols Diane! ......And....Congratulations on even losing weight whilst being on holiday this week - Now that is darned impressive
Thirdly, Sorry to hear about your exercise problems Ms Thrifty
- hopefully you'll find something that you can do without causing you pain and aggravating your injury.
Fourthly, Very impressed with your swimming achievements ClareBarr
, but I'm also sorry to hear that you are having some days where you are in pain.
Fifthly, Well done Biggins for your continued weight loss success and keeping up on the old exercise front.
Sixthly, Well Done Havingascreen for losing weight despite apparently doing little exercise and straying from the straight and narrow eating-wise.
Seventhly, Welcome to our latest recruit Aruif.
Eighthly, Well done on the gym upgrade Rawr!
Ninethly, Well done to Valda for your weight loss and tasty new menu regime!
Tenthly, Well done to anyone else who I've overlooked but who is also doing well!
Well I can’t delay any longer so I’ll just out with it. I've been rubbish this week again - Not much exercise taken - too much of the wrong food eaten – I’ve been almost bingeing some evenings before bed. No surprise then that I've put on three pounds
I’m annoyed with myself but it's not really worth commenting on now - it's happened! I need to draw a line under it and think about the coming week in a more positive light. I will lose those 3 pounds again and more this coming week (he said determinedly)!!

And having said that...Me and two mates (yeah - there's even more of us now) did 12 miles plus on mountain bikes in the pouring (and I do mean pouring) rain this morning. I absolutely loved it! Never been so soaked through with rain and mud for ages. So that's quite a good start. Had a salad for lunch - again good! But rather spoilt it by eating the pain au chocolate with my coffee that one of my mates kindly brought along for us all. Still I've a whole week to burn that little indiscretion off!

Re: Weight Watchers
Welcome back Preston - we've missed you! (shows what a sad lot we are
)
Losing weight is a see-saw game as one week we are elated because we have lost weight and the next we are down in the dumps because we have put weight on!
The trouble with food is even if no-one notices you eating the extra calories your stomach sure does!!!
You have lost a lot and can easily get back on track with all the exercise you do on your mountain bike.

I must have lost it since I came back and not put as much as I anticipated when I was there.
