Finished watching "Run", the 4 part drama on channel 4. The acting / directing in all 4 was terrific. Serves as a reminder that there are so many good & (relatively) unknown actors out there, just waiting for something like this in which to shine.

Particular praise for the 2 actors I did know of, Lennie James & Olivia Coleman. Whilst Olivia will probably win some gongs for many of her oustanding roles this year, it would be nice for Lennie to get some silverware too. I would be over the moon to see him pick up a bafta for his performance here.

I concur! I still have the last episode to watch, but need the energy to do so. It was so emotionally draining to watch.

I'd love Lennie to win something too, such a good actor, and at home popping back to the UK to do homegrown roles as well as stuff in the States  o/

such a shock to see Olivia do the C word 8O

I started watching Scandal only a few days ago and I am hooked! I am about to start the second season, and if the quality of the writing is as good as the first season, then I will work my way through the season two in no time.

I love political/legal dramas and this reminds me of The Good Wife which is one of my favourite shows.

though the toiur de france is one of the most boring things to watch on tv (and there are admittedly a lot of boring people in the world who are happy to be bored whilst watching it) there is a slow and bizarre fascination in watching how far the competitors cycle each day for 3 weeks. I cannot fathom for a moment how they can cycle more than 10 kms at the speed they do, yet the distances gradually toll up into the 200s EACH DAY. Its freakishly otherworldy. Why would anyone do, and how??

Part one of Top Of The Lake. Is it just me, or is it one of the strangest miniseries out there? Still haven't decided if I like it or not, so I guess will be watching part two.

A fantastic lightening & thunder storm that went on for hours!

It was fantastic, I have always loved storms & this was great. Grabbed a large glass of wine and watched from underneath my porch.

What a relief after all this heat.

Just finished watching "Days of Heaven".

Possibly the most beautifully shot film I have ever seen. If not, then it's only rivals are other Terence Malick films.

    Gorgeous film indeed.

I watched 6 episodes of The Vikings on Lovefilm only. Sort of channeling Spartacus, Game of Thrones and Sons of Anarchy. Not as good as any of them, but entertaining nevertheless
