I watched the movie a few days ago half the group loved it the rest hated it no inbetweeners lol. I enjoyed it ...did remind me of the Matrix though while watching it. I was unsure what was happening at the opening but soon got into it ...... not one to watch if you have had a long week and are tired ...defo need to be alert when watching it.

Sequel might spoil it but prequel would be interesting!!!

I've seen it! Found it a bit confusing... with all these layers of dreams... Yes, I probably will get more out of it if I watch it for the second time, but I haven't got spare 3 hours...(that's what it is with the trailers....) I'm glad I watched it, so I understand what you all are on about! And I was comparing it to Matrix while I was watching it...

thats interesting. inception takes the dream concept of matrix, but expands on it totally.

if anything, its a pre-boot to matrix, in that it outlines our first usage of dream technology, the development of which allowed machines to take over and send us all into limbo reality of 1999.

I loved Inception but would definately like to see it again. Managed to beat the crowds as well because we saw it at a cinema heavy with Toy Story 3 goers

Hey All

Finally got around to writing up my review of Inception, although I saw it a few weeks ago.

Firstly, having read other peoples' posts I have to comment on the fiasco at the Stratford Picture House. On the day of a preview showing they decide to have just one ticket booth open, allocated seating and check everyone for ID! Needless to say, the start of film was delayed (hdaniel82 and kevcampbell I'm sure I was behind you guys as I spotted one of you on the fmuk website LOL) but the movie certainly made up for it.

Inception is one of those rare films - an intelligent script but still plenty of action and incredible, special effects. Think part Matrix, part Usual Suspects which makes for an exciting movie which keeps you hooked until the very end and will have you talking about it even after you've left the cinema (Not giving any spoilers away).

I loved the various locations and different situations that the characters found themselves in, always changing with the pace never letting up. Even I have to admit I was scratching my head at some points of the movie but this just made for a later talking point. Ultimately though, the film feels complete, not a mish-mash of action sequences strung together with a loose storyline (like some of this summer's releases).

The special effects, particularly the streets folding, were jaw dropping even if you have seen the adverts and tv promos and would, therefore, certainly recommend that you see this movie on the big screen for the full impact. All of the cast also did a fine job, particularly Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who finally left behind being type cast in another teenage rom-com.

Most of all though, credit has to be given to Chris Nolan who once again shows he's an amazing writer and director for conceiving the story and bringing this movie together. Definitely one for fans of his previous films such as Memento and The Dark Knight.

All in all, certainly the best film I've seen for a long time and and, so far, the best movie this year. I would thoroughly recommend others watch it especially while it is still at the cinema and before, the inevitable sequel (or prequel) is fastracked into production. Although (beginning a fan of The Matrix but not its lacklustre sequels) I hope they leave this to be a standalone film - so it can be appreciated as being something unique for years to come.

I finally saw it tonight just gutted I didn't see it in IMAX cause I reckon it would have made it way better, some of those scenes would have been amazing to watch. Anyway I totally loved it, I was kind of thinking it wasn't actually going to be as good as I wanted it to be because everyone has been hyping it it up but it was so much better than I imagine and at the start after the first couple of scenes I was sat there kind of thing wtf I am not going to get this film at all but it explained most things pretty well, I've heard people say that they just don't get it at all but I don't think it was that confusing. It does need watching again though for sure.

I don't actually like Leo that much but he wasn't as annoying as I thought he was going to be, probably one of his best roles in a while. I loved the guy from 10 Things I Hate About You (I forget his name), he's turning out to be a pretty decent actor. Ellen was ok nothing special but better than in Juno. But for me Tom Hardy stole the show, I liked the guy last year when I saw him in Wuthering Heights but now I actually love the guy.

Ahhh the ending was soo annoying though.
