Anyone know the cheapest place/any offers on Matilda Tickets, would really like to take my daughter as Matilda is both her favourite film & book at the moment. However, the only decent deals I have found are for the Wednesday mattinee when she is at school.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

What's her age? 18-25 year olds can get £5 tickets on the day and those under 18 get £10 off all prices (I think). Check the website to make sure though!

Thanks she's only 7, I'll check the £10 off deal but that still means full price for me.

Yeah, sorry. If it helps, I was sitting in the grand circle about 5 rows from the back and it wasn't bad view at all. I am saying this because usually those are the cheapest seats (about £20 each).

Maybe day seats?

There are £25 tickets available from the RSC website but maybe you are looking for something cheaper?

I think it will get very busy in the run up to Christmas so deals may be hard to find.

There ARE day seats? I called the box office and was told there were only 8 £5 each day for 18-25 year olds and no regular day seats...

Oh no...that was me assuming there were day seats. I am clearly wrong!

I am going to see Matilda tomorrow :D and I shall try to remember to ask if there are day seats available!

Oh d'uh, sorry I read your sentence wrong I thought you meant those were the £25 seats!

I just checked and cheapest seats (assuming back of grand circle, about where I sat) are £20 each. If you b*y them at the box office you won't have to p*y booking fees or so either.

Raineylb, something I just remembered: the show isn't scary, but at one point they do have everything covered in a dark red light (because everything at this point is "bad") and I am not entirely sure any more what scene it was for but there was a girl in front of me that started crying really loudly and repeatedly screamed "I want to go home!" and she wasn't the only one upset. Just keep that in mind if your daughter is easily scared as well.

Funthing29, hope you enjoy the show as much as I did!!

The Matilda website says:

SUPERSEATS

Superseats are also available, please contact the Box Office

I wonder what they are!
