The shedule says UK Cinema showcase, www.launchingfilms.com. I guess not enough people pa*d for the event.
What was really silly was, after each film. The p*ying people came out, went off to the toilet or whatever. Then once they went back in, the rest of us were allowed in. It would have saved time if thier seats were reserved, then whilst they go on toilet break, we all get in and that would have saved quite some time in the end.
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

No wonder they had to give out free tickets then to make up the audience.

valda, they should have had you doing the organisation!

They weren't p*ying. They were media people. Not all of them watched every film, so did, others skipped one or another. I guess I'll write a complaint email to SFF, but not sure how much good that will do.

A total shambles and the two bimbos working for Showfilmfirst were useless. They were in hysterics when they told us the film wouldn't start until 10 pm. I asked them why they thought this was funny and they apologised and laughed while they did it. They said it wasn't their fault and the Empire guy said it was nothing to do with him. He blamed SFF for forcing them to hurry the projectionist and that's why the subtitles couldn't be read. And of course the cinema being boiling hot was also not his fault.

I was really disappointed and The Empire should feel very ashamed. I asked SFF for an email address which would be read and answered and it took them 5 minutes to find a piece of paper and a pen and to search their very small brains. She then wrote an address that has never had the courtesy to answer any email I have ever sent.

Rubbish Empire, Leicester Square and Rubbish SFF. They said that since it was free they owed us nothing. So tonight we really were second class citizens.

I'll definitely be complaining to someone. Probably SFF, Empire and the site Valda posted above. Can't hurt, right?

I really don't know if it was anything the projectionist could have done. It just appeared as if the subtitles had been formatted incorrectly. Perhaps I'm mistaken.

Well, I have sent my email off to SFF. Now doing one to the Empire, no harm in complaining, they need to know that nothing went right tonight.

So the media people had tickets for the whole day I guess - did you guys have to tramp out again after each film and wait to be readmitted as you might not have had a ticket for every film that day? Sounds like an organisational nightmare.

The media people also came out after the films but they were treated very nicely by the 3 SFF girls and while I was waiting outside they were given cake. They had ID badges around their necks und could just walk back in before the plebs.
