I may have nightmares tonight after watching the film... being trapped in a time warp where I have to watch it over and over again.

Re: Kill List
What a load of b****cks, quite frankly. The director and the Total Film guy giving the usual spiel before the film were right - it was unique in trying to cover (or rather rip) a range of genres - Wicker Man, Lock Stock, in Bruges etc. But unlike those films, it was neither creepy, suspenseful or funny - and yes, I had the misfortune to sit behind the tosser who felt he should clap at every "funny" moment. No wonder there was a stampede to leave before the Q&A got started. Still, the girl from Phoneshop was fine to look at...

Re: Kill List
Yes I thought the director had watched the Wicker Man too many times or tried to copy the dialogue from In Bruge or just try to be a british wannabe Tarantino with sudden outburst of violence and then long bits of dialogue

Re: Kill List
Nice to see so many FMUKkers tonight even if I only briefly said hello to Beate and SS.
The best part of the evening was the Q&A and meeting the cast afterwards. The director and the three main stars were there and Michael Smiley is really funny. pxc, MrGlass and I hung around outside the cinema and ran into Neil Maskell who let us take some photos with him. Then we heard there were signed posters inside so we went back downstairs and chatted to the other stars and got some more photos. Thanks pxc for using your camera!
I got autographs from everyone except Neil who had disappeared and there were no signed posters left
(they were part of the prize for comp winners). I asked Neil and Ben about a sequel and they said there is discussion about a possible prequel.
The film really is bizarre and I think it is a marmite type of film, people either love it or hate. It started off slow and the opening act was rather boring. It took too long establishing the domestic side of Jay's side and didn't a while to get into the meat of the story. I am trying really hard to find some positive things to say about this film...and I'm struggling. It wasn't too long, the acting was good and they were well written characters. The murders and torture scenes were a bit graphic but luckily there wasn't too much violence. The film goes weird in the final act and I am still in a state of befuddlement at what happened at the end.
3/10.
