Wow. How good is the Balcony at the O2 Sky Superscreen? Just to shake matters up a bit, tonight they opened up the balcony first, and we got great seats. Miles of legroom and a table next to seats. It felt like flying business class. For fully first class we need the champagne and the canapes, but I definitely want to sit there again next time!

Even a mediocre film gets bearable in seats like this. What can I say about the film that funthing29 hasn't already said better? It was crude, it was predictable, it was moralistic ("be happy with what you've got"). The toilet humour really was OTT at times, and it was definitely too long. It should have had more gentle bits, and I really didn't need all those tits in my face. It was however hilarious in places, and while I can take or leave Jason Bateman, Ryan Reynolds really is a likeable lead.

So, all in all this gets a 6.5/10 from me. I've had better but I've had lots worse too!

I entirely agree with Beate and maybe for some of the same reasons; my journey was good, we didn't have to queue to get in and they played film scores while we were waiting. So you start off in a good mood.

I was a bit too busy swooning over Ryan to notice much else (10/10 for him!) hehe

Loved the balcony seats though! Got front row and was able to put my feet up at times which was great.

As for the movie: I normally quite enjoy body swapping comedies and this one had some fun moments (particularly with the babies in the ktchen) but some of it also completely grossed me out (the first scene with the babies) or was unnecessarily crude. If it wasn't for Ryan and Jason it wouldn't have worked at all, but they really made the movie for me. 7/10

How early did you get there? My friend got there just after 6, was told by one staff member to go up to the balcony. When she got up there, was told by another that it was already full up.

And did someone leave a door open up there? There was a light shining on the bottom of the screen, looked like it was coming from the balcony.

don_datta I got there at around 5.45 and there weren't that many people on the balcony yet.

I too saw the light but assumed it was the projector as we were sitting much closer to it now as we normally do downstairs.

Didn't enjoy this nearly as much as I thought I would. Rushed through from Glasgow (completely missing the chance to spot Bradley Pitt filming in the centre of Glasgow!). Managed to nod off in the middle and felt I missed nothing. Loved the babies bit in the kitchen too. Mmmmm. Blender! Lol. Actually found it hard to determine who was who at any one time.
Don't think I'd be up for watching this again (unlike Super8 and Bridesmaids) even on TV with nothing else on but Party Political Broadcasts.

A measly mediocre 5/10 from me despite it having moments - they only lasted moments.

Saw this at The O2 tonight. Movie was pretty daft, though I didn't expect "Citizen Kane" so I wasn't exactly disappointed. I actually found it quite funny and thought the Rotten Tomatoes rating of 22% was super-harsh. However, I will say that despite liking both Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds, I found both of their characters to be quite irritating (particularly the foul-mouth slob in both incarnations). Also [spoiler]what the hell was the lawyer character prepping for? In the board-room all he said was "GO FOR A 100 MILLION DOLLARS MORE!"[/spoiler]

As for the experience, first of all, I'm glad Sky moved the screening to 7PM because coming from the city, I would have missed it for damn sure with all the Northern & Jubilee Line delays. Sadly though, I ended up sitting next to a total beetch who selfishly chose to check her Facebook literally every 5 minutes, each time spending at least 10 minutes typing some banal sh!t. I kept debating to myself, should I tell her something or should I just suffer in silence? Every scenario I played back in my mind ended in some kind of verbal conflict, so I tried the subtle approach. I over-emphasized my irritation. Sighing heavily every single time she whipped out her Blackberry, blocking my face with my palm, appearing physically agitated, everything I could think of -- all to no f**king avail. By the end of the movie, I seriously wanted to kill the damn Harpie...but I kept my cool and just stuck it out as best as I could.

The number of bad experiences I've had at The O2 makes me think I should rather wait for these movies to come to Blu-Ray instead of subjecting myself to this kind of hell. I know by now this sounds like an utterly pointless rant as the movies are free to start with so what right do I have to complain, but f**k it man! People are just plain inconsiderate. Why inconvenience others if you don't give a sh!t about the movie yourself? Just f**k the hell off home!
