It was clear that the kids all enjoyed this, but it really is some formulaic stuff. I'm definitely not a fan of the studio behind these films, as even if the stories are weak, they could still make an effort to impress visually. But they don't.

I don't quite agree with the review but I absolutely love it when people amusingly pummel a film into the ground so I laughed heartily at this one:

No accounting for tastes, I guess -they love it in the States.

Ice Age is cooling as a franchise, but it still has enough chill to nip the competition.

Ice Age: Continental Drift proved a little weaker than analysts expected, but it still won the box office this weekend. The fourth installment of the animated franchise mustered $46 million, according to studio estimates from box-office tracking firm Hollywood.com.

The debut of the fourth installment marked the third time in four films that the franchise opened at the top of the box office.

Wha hey, then check out this review (Been following these guys for over a year and when they pummel a film into the ground, they REALLY pummel. With humour and onions). So, it may be up your alley:

I've seen all three of the Ice Age films, although I probably won't go to see the new one. I liked the first two, but the third one wasn't very good in my opinion. The 3D wasn't done very well either. I'll probably wait for it to come on TV.

It finally arrived and contains a fluffy Diego, some posh chocolate and the first 3 films on DVD, and all in an orange carrier bag. Pretty chuffed! o/
