Saw this in Glasgow last night.

Went to see this with my OH last night and while there was a few funny scenes I felt it was all a bit predictable. It's interesting to see the different views on this thread as even in the cinema there was clearly those that liked it and those that hated it. I think I was somewhere in the middle leaning towards the hate side.I like Kevin Bishops star stories and Kris Marshall was the best thing in My Family but they really couldn't save this film. It was nice to get out without the weans for a change and you kind of hope that it's a good one. Last film that really made me laugh was 21 Jump Street and Norman Wisdoms Stitch in Time DVD (£1.99 from the works).

Only after reading this thread did I realise it was Olivia Newton John. I still don't think I believe that I even checked IMDB ... Plastic surgery has not been good to her.

My friend enjoyed it, but it might have been the novelty of her first-ever free film. Was supposed to go, but coughed all afternoon, night, this morning, this afternoon... you get the picture. I'm sure no one would have appreciated it.

I'm guessing everyone in Edinburgh was at Cineworld as I didn't spot any of you at Vue Omni? It was about 60% full.
Kris Marshall - he must be at least 36 is he not and seemed a tad old for the role? The Blue Mountains looked amazing and instantly made me want to go back! Great ad for the NSW Tourist Board?! The film, it was Ok but nothing special and not nearly as funny as it should have been.

6/10 from me.

I saw marjareen at Cineworld.
My thoughts exactly with Kris Marshall - see above. They said he'd been friends for 20 years with the groom, but the groom looked about 12 and Marshall as you say is in his late 30s. Didn't quite gel with me, but hey - it was just light fluff. Enjoyable but instantly forgotten. I thought the sheep with lipstick on was funny!

Having seen the trailer, it looks a bit like The Hangover - I don't think I would p*y to see it but there weren't any free screenings in my area.

i am glad it's not just me. I didn't realise it was her either. what a strange face she has now. mind you i liked it in a kind of oddly fascinating way.

i thought it was overall not very good. not very funny and too many jokes that went nowhere (what exactly was the joke about the moustache?). wondered why they made this at all as it begs comparisons to the hangover and can only seem like a poor cousin rip off.

I wondered this as well. I'm guessing that it was part of a more elaborate joke that was cut somewhere along the line but still had remnants there were left in. If not then it was a very UNfunny piece.

Nice to catch up with Stuartboy last night. Cineworld was quite busy.

Quite enjoyed film, lots of cringe moments but light hearted and like Kris Marshall but kept waiting on him making some reference to phones or internet.

Shame Olivia did not look quite as good as in Grease but guess we are all getting older. Although inside we are all still the same.

6.5/10 from us

see another Edinburgh Fmuker there.

Will look out for you next time!!
