I was expecting more from this film so I was a bit disappointed. I cried a lot and left the cinema quite depressed....I like Dakota but did not like the actors playing her female friend and boyfriend (he was very good looking but didnt like his acting much!). Not a film I would ever want to watch again, 5/10.

McG wrote:At Braehead tonight in the company of Yinster and OH. I thought the subject of the film was handled very well and was not too sentimental. The 2 main characters played by Dakota Fanning and Jeremy Irvine were very believable and beautifully matched. The film really examines the relationships of the main people affected by Tessa's impending death and shows a gradual change in their relationships. I loved the character of Tessa's young brother who did and said exactly as a small boy would do. Excellent scripting!
I was moved :tears: by the final scenes and thought it was sensitively handled.
I liked seeing the views of how life could have been if Tessa had not been ill.
Marks 7.5/10
McG has captured what i though pretty well. Scripting was excellant for Dakota as well as wee bro but it was the interplay of relationships and emotions that made for compelling watching. Only criticism was the love thing,
would Adam have got so seriously involved with Tessa having just suffered a berevement to fulfill Tessa's wish of knowing love before she died
 thought that relationship was a bit too perfectly staged!!

6.5/10 from me

I didn't enjoy it at all. I thought it was very slow and I didn't really care about what happened to the characters. My sister was of a similar opinion. (could be a family thing!)

Saw this tonight at a half-full Surrey Quays. I enjoyed this film. It was filmed in Brighton and Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, both places I know well!! I probably would've cried if I'd watched this indoors, but I was on my own and didn't wana show myself up!!

Saw this in Edinburgh tonight. It wa about 50% full.

Someone had taken their daughter aged approx 7 - thought she was probably too young and she did go in and out 3 times, so I suspect she was bored but maybe she just drank the small sized cola?!

I thought this was well done and was surprised it was British. Perhaps that was why it wasn't too gushy and annoying.

I thought Jeremy was very good.

I liked it enough.

6.5/10 from me.

Stupid WIQ didn't let us into the screening room until 6.25 but we had hardly any latecomers. Very proud of OH for not only coming out despite his bad back but also for loudly telling the people next to him to "shut up please!" It worked.

Holds up nicely to a second viewing.
