Re: Warm Bodies
This film could have been so bad. Instead it was sweet, charming and funny. A bit reminiscent of Edward Scissorhands crossed with Romeo and Juliet.
Also lovely to see all the FMUKers for a chat before the screening.

Yeah, who'd have thought that a zom-rom-com is my film of the year (so far)?

Re: Warm Bodies
saw this tonight at covent garden odeon. Had no expectations, since I didn't really know anything about it.
It was quite sweet and funny. OH gives it a 8/10 and I'd give it a 7/10.

Zombie Love! Brilliant, loved it, adorable and really funny. I agree with Beate, my film of the year so far too.

Re: Warm Bodies
Film of the year so far for me too (only seen one this year though
)
Not as good as 50/50 by Jonathan Levine, but definetely making his mark in what i call "genre bending" movies.

Re: Warm Bodies
Back from a pretty full Springfield Quay. Lots of unfamiliar faces so guessing there were lots of competition winners. Actually did feel majority of punters were a Twilight kinda of crowd.
Snap. It is definitely one of my favourites this year so far. It was the right length and simple. Lots of funny lines and Nicolas Hoult was awesome in his character of R. Jules was fine too. You could tell though they wanted to expand their audiences to make it a 12A. And what a soundtrack. Love the soundtrack. 8/10Beate wrote:Yeah, who'd have thought that a zom-rom-com is my film of the year (so far)?
He is Dave Franco - younger brother of James Franco - Personally I know him from last year's 21 Jump Street and he was also in the later seasons of Scrubs.Beate wrote:Now, where do I know Perry from?

Re: Warm Bodies
My first preview for the year! YAY!!!!
Interesting spin on the zombie genre which starts out very promisingly but then quickly degenerates into a brainless teen-romance (no pun intended).
Rob Corddry aka Cutter Spindell steals the show.

Knew you would like it Beate! Hope it cured your stinky mood.Beate wrote:Brilliant. What an unexpected delight. And awesome music. Any film with the excellent "Hungry Heart" by Bruce Springsteen in it has my vote. But it was funny and it was romantic and I loved the happy ending. A sweet take on "Love heals the world". Nicholas Hoult has come far since "About a Boy"! Now, where do I know Perry from?
Lovely to see so many FMUKers and meet martadelas (again).
9/10

I'm gutted I didn't make it through to Glasgow to see it again as I was really looking forward to it.
Don't make me p*y to see it again! Lol.

Cineworld Unlimited is cheating! ;-)

Re: Warm Bodies
Not a film I'd have gone out of my way for but the genre made a refreshing change and it was a very pleasant evening overall, much enhanced by seeing so many other members and after so long. I'm so used to going to films alone that I've been quite spoilt this week: first a friend joined me for Sunday's preview then, this evening, London members were out in force!

Re: Warm Bodies
It was great to meet (again) a solid group of FMUKers. Always good to be able to put a face to a screen name. After a brief chat it was time for the movie.
Which I loved. I was hoping I would enjoy it, after seeing the trailer, and I was not disappointed. It was fun and funny, just a light, sweet, feel-good movie, despite some gory scenes (luckily there weren't that many of them). Definitely glad I made it. Even though I do have to say I found Nicholas Hoult just a bit more convincing as a zombie, haha.
