Re: Identity Thief
I thought this was going to be absolutely rubbishly terrible like the Change-Up or *shudder* The Hangover Part 2 so was pleasantly surprised when I found myself laughing several times while watching this film. Sure there were unnecessarily crude moments (and also, snakes *shudders again*) but overall I don't regret having seen it.

Re: Identity Thief
I would be happy to make this the lowpoint of March for me, lets hope it is just this.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?
Re: Identity Thief
Saw this last night at the Lowry it was about 3/4 full. It was ok, laughed a couple of times but found it very reminiscent of both Planes, trains and automobiles and Midnight run. It wasn't up to the standard of either of the aforementioned.

Re: Identity Thief
Saw this at Shepherds Bush Vue on Tuesday night. Absolutely woeful, terrible script completely drags down two of the best comedic actors working at present. Bateman looked embarrassed to be in it, McCarthy must be pissed off with the amount of fat jokes in it. I never managed one laugh and was shocked at how poor it was.
Nothing to recommend about this film, nothing, nothing, nothing.

Re: Identity Thief
I saw this at a relatively packed Greenwich O2 & was incredibly grateful that zoebanfield had saved me a seat upstairs as I had to fight my was through the jbiebers and consequently got there 10 minutes before the film started.
I had low expectations, which is perhaps why I was surprised that I had a number of laugh out loud moments.
Overall Melissa McCarthy did what she does best & I enjoyed it.

Re: Identity Thief
I really enjoyed this, yes it was a weak story and some very crude bits which I could have done without but made me laugh out loud. Melissa McCarthy was brilliant, loved it she was singing along to the car radio also when she was running down the road and Jason Bateman caught up with her

Re: Identity Thief
I forgot to mention, that when we got there a little before 6pm the bloody arena was closed off and nobody could get in even when some people behind me explained they had cinema tickets for a little after 6pm! Some Twitter searching at the time made us come to the conclusion that the Bieber was wandering around inside and they wanted to keep the fangirls out for the time being. So I think it's perfectly reasonable to blame him and his fans for all that's wrong (in the world...).Beate wrote:LOL, that's normal for you, don't blame the Beliebers!rawsalsa wrote:as I had to fight my was through the jbiebers and consequently got there 10 minutes before the film started.
