well theyve removed it now, probably after reading this thread, I think its pretty obvious who it was anyway - obviously grabbed them for here but there were no requests for these showings and doenst want to return them so was trying to get rid of them elsewhere. hopefully they will return them now rather than just letting them go to waste

This is why we say not to book so many tickets unless you know they will go to good use.... :nono:

Well the films on offer weren't very popular, esp Jennifers body I guess or maybe he/she had such a great response on gumtree, all the tickets have been given out!

I can't believe people do this. Selling free tickets on ebay is really mean and I'm also a bit baffled at why anyone would grab loads of tickets then try to give them away free on gumtree. Mainly because I don't really understand why people would book that many tickets unless they anticipated someone they knew here or elsewhere wanting them but also because it's more trouble to set up a gumtree advert than to send back the tickets to seefilmfirst.

I really hope that people doing this don't ruin it for the rest of us, I can't imagine seefilmfirst or any of the other agencies being too happy about it.

also, someone would have to give their full name and email to this perfect stranger to get these 'amended' tickets, unless that is why they are doing it? to collect email addresses? (or is it all done on PMs on gumtree? )

Well whoever it was, must have had lots of clicks/interests because if you do a search for those film tickets on google, that entry is on the first page of google (even though the ad is now removed)

Absolutely, it's a nightmare setting anything up there!

You have to give your email address at the time of response. Then whoever's add it is, gets your message with your email and they correspond via email.

It could be they are collecting email addresses and names!
