Like Don Datta, I wish I had read some of these reviews too before wasting 90 mins of a Friday night on this mess of a film.
Having watched Tron Legacy last week, I thought that another movie laden with special effects and little else might be fun. However, I could not have been more wrong.
This movie was like watching 3 episodes of a very poor TV drama stitched together ... unfortunately, I think episode 4 got lost somewhere given the movie's rather abrupt ending. Although this obviously leaves the ending open for a sequel I don't think even a free cinema ticket could convince me to watch it.
Okay, so the premise for the film is interesting, the designs of the spaceships and the aliens is also impressive (particularly the gorilla-type alien with the claws) but the story and the acting are awful!
This movie is so bad that if all you want to do is marvel at the flashing lights you could quite easily watch it with the sound turned off. Trust me ... you're not missing anything.
