Went to a function on Thursday at One Mayfair, nice looking venue. I would definitely recommend the place, everything else was spot on, the food, drinks, entertainment, the crowd

Can't believe I went for an casual audition for an immersive theatre experience thing (It's only for 3 nights) and there was Royal Ballet principal, Rupert Pennefather auditioning too. Nice to see him interested in no budget theatre productions! Maybe his gifrlfriend dragged him along but he seemed to enjoy himself.
Went to see Katy Perry afterwards, lucky we found out it started after 9pm. Didn't want to sit around endlessly waiting for her to show up, so went for dinner just beforehand

I went to claim my free night at Hilton in my PJ's at the Courthouse Hotel this evening. Thanks Beate for posting. I only saw it at lunch time, and had to rush out to Primark to pick up a £6 PJ! Who wears PJs? I have never owned one in my life. Had half an hour to get there and back to work, so was in and out and did not even had time to try it on. The Courthouse Hotel was only five mins away from work, so ideal. Got there at 5.35pm just after work and expected hordes of people, but I was the first! The event opened at 6pm and by then only about 10 people arrived. They had 100 vouchers to give away. We were given a glass of wine and a cookie. They told us to get our friends down. But it was all too short notice.

We had to give our name and our twitter address to claim our voucher. And since only three people me, another girl (only two girls turned up, me and her, she got her dressing gown from the charity shop for £5) and one guy were in proper PJ's we spent the next hour being photographed! In the queue, in the room, on the sofa, it was hard work, smile, look this way, do this, do that, hold your drink, open your envelopes, etc etc. I complained that we should get another voucher for all the hard work, but they just gave us another drink!

The other girl managed to get her OH to turn up with 30mins to spare, and gave him her pink dressing gown to wear to claim his voucher :giggle:

But we had a lot of fun. I managed to get three drinks and three cookies, well I was hungry!

Sounds as though you had to work really hard for your night, pxc - hope it proves worth it!

I've just been to see Toyah and definitely didn't participate, much as she tried to encourage the audience to join in. Anyway, she wasn't short of takers but whilst Toyah is wearing very well, those who rushed to join her on stage looked in terrible shape to me. I don't know if they were drunk (if only on nostalgia) but at least they seemed to be enjoying themselves!

Went for a networking function in the City early this evening, had some great chinese food canapes (quite unusual) and cocktails. The hosts were just brilliant, haven't seen them for a few months and it was brilliant to catch up with them once again. The staff, service, food were all perfect, the head chef was always around to explain things. Definitely the hostess with mostess o/

He he, just seen PXC in her PJs on facebook.
I am sorry I didn't tell you earlier, I am on the Hilton newsletter and they were talking about it days ago which is why I started following them on twitter. I knew it would be London tonight (it was Washington yesterday) but not the details, and certainly didn't expect to have to turn up in PJs. I have a lovely pair but would have probably just brought it along and then changed in the toilets - don't fancy sitting on the tube with everyone thinking I am mental, LOL. Unfortunately I couldn't make it anyway as my friend has come over from Germany and we went to see The Help at Cineworld Greenwich. I don't think they managed to get all the 100 free nights dispensed yesterday but London must have been even a poorer show! Wish I'd advertisted it more widely now.

yeah, lots of people changed in the toilets and then grabbed the tickets and changed back and left!

Only a handful stayed for the drinks and cookies.

I think a total of 20 people turned up! I called all my friends and family, but it was too short notice and everyone was too busy.
