It was good fun, but I must be the only person in the world still annoyed about Ed Norton getting shafted!

Ruffalo was good, though!

Wanna know about (er..SH, look away) Joss Whedon? This is a short and sweet background on the decidedly quirky Joss Whedon (there may be slight Avengers spoiler with clips from early in film)

Avengers Assemble (Hulk) smashES tHE UK box office

Avengers Assemble 3D has proven to be an absolute (Hulk) smash at the box office, opening with a gargantuan £15.8m (including £2.5m from previews). Its Friday - Sunday total of £13.2m is the sixth highest of all time, just behind last year’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 (£13.8m). It’s also almost double the previous highest opening for a Marvel superhero title, Iron Man 2’s £7.7m in 2010. The spectacular success of Avengers Assemble 3D also once again proved that the appetite for 3D is still high, with 66.9% of the gross from 3D presentations.

Unsurprisingly the rest of the films on release took a backseat to Avengers Assemble, however distributor Lionsgate will be celebrating as their titles made up three of the remaining four spots in the top 5. In second place was Salmon Fishing In The Yemen having a terrific hold, falling just 7% with £1.1m. Obviously offering a stark alternative to the superhero funfest, the romantic comedy now has a cume total of £3.2m. In third place was The Hunger Games with a further £744k, for a cume of £22.4m. This stretches its lead as the highest grossing film of the year so far but with the gangbusters performance of Avengers Assemble 3D, you have to think it won’t be holding that position this time next week.

Despite doing very little business during the week, The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists is still pulling in the crowds at the weekend finishing in fourth spot with £664k. Only £35k of that total came from Friday business and the charming Aardman animation now has a cume of £14.9m. In fifth place and seemingly experiencing decent word of mouth was knowing horror The Cabin In The Woods (£562k) with a cume of £4.6m. One other notable performer was Battleship passing the £7m mark with a further £501k.

Avengers Assemble 3D doesn’t open in the US until this coming Friday, so in the calm before the storm Think Like a Man once again topped the box office, falling 47% to $17.6m. It now has a cume total of $60.5m after ten days.

Saw this again today, was again flawless!

Expect for the woman having a open discussion on her mobile for almost 5 minutes, just as I was about to ask her to leave, her guy friend urged her out.
Casually chatting with her feet up on the chair in front, this is a film not a social gathering at home! >:(

Besides that, even after the 3 previous times, it never fails to put a fat grin on my face!

I think I am the only person who didn't like this. Severely over hyped, film felt like it dragged on with the same repetitive boring old script and same old action scenes etc. Maybe I'm being overly critical but I was expecting something more 'epic/different' and not a regurgitation of modern day action films. Couldn't take Tom Hiddlestone seriously as a super bad guy, Samuel L as Nick Fury was just painful to watch and Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson didn't come across as a symbolic character that he was meant to be. However I thought Mark Ruffalo did a good job playing the Hulk, it's a tough task to step into the shoes of Ed Norton. The film was good don't get me wrong but I'm not falling into the 'hype' so I would give it 7/10.
