My friend seems to think it's too much for a European trip and if I spend that much I should spend it somewhere further out but I'm wondering whether she's just underestimating.
It sounds about right to me if they are 4 star hotels. Especially as Venice is not a cheap pleace to visit.

Is anyone else doing the 'book 3 days off and get 11 days holiday' thing in April?
(April 22 - May 2)

I was wondering if anyone was doing anything exciting in that time off? I was hoping to go somewhere hot (or at least warmer than here), but I don't know whether waiting for a lastminute offer is going to work.

Interested to hear what plans are being made....

Well I would have I was allowed to but my Office Manager got there first, AND she broke the rules by booking the holiday first THEN putting the application in! I am so annoyed.
I have however 15 - 25 April off and hope to be out of London at the Royal Wedding weekend as it looks like chaos.

Why not? You could book yourself into a spa or something?

But if you never go you should have saved enough money to blow it on a real treat for yourself!
