When I did it, years ago, I was told I shouldn't change my normal theatre-going habits so I carried on seeing matinees as well as evening performances. Would that work at all for you?

Most mainstream theatres do have Saturday matinees - and, as you will know, some early evening perfs on Fridays! And some do Sunday matinees, too...

I know ;) I am just trying to figure out if it's a realistic target to see around 100 shows in a year on top of all my other obligations as theatre performances are more often than not quite a lot longer than movies. But then, I suppose it can't hurt to enter the competition as in the likely chance I do not get picked for the final 4 I don't have to make the decision anyway.

I manage to combine seeing films with my attendance at theatre shows as a member of an Awards Panel.
Generally, I choose shows for Wednesday or Thursday viewing leaving Mondays and Tuesdays for film previews.
Usually the theatres ask you to go to "off-peak" shows ie Monday to Thursday. (Obviously I don't have the same number of film previews on offer as the London area or the number of stage shows and find that on the whole, I have only a few clashes.)

Oh I would happily sacrifice free films for free theatre (as theatre is my first love, should I be admitting that on here? :sofa: )! But you're right, I should give it a shot :D
