Good for you. I use it a lot. My next rental is going to be "Black Dynamite", a spoof of Blaxploitation movies.Celini wrote:just signed up for the free 1 month Lovefilm offer and watched my first movie: Shutter Island!
Not a bad start

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.
Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

A lot of us ended up at a screening for that film. It was a black magazine comp so it was rather odd for them to see all us turn up! I only knew Beate and OH at that time. funny film thoughweirdfilms33 wrote:Good for you. I use it a lot. Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
I did the previous Lovefilm offer (with The Guardian) as I preferred the £20 John Lewis voucher to any offer of cinema tickets, so now I'm just waiting for my voucher. Yesterday I watched "Dinner For Schmucks" as I never did get to see it in the cinema and as Valda says, this is how I will use the service. Also for films which didn't get a UK release at all, some of which, imho, are better than those that did!

Do you have to commit to any minimum terms of subscription at the time of registration (i.e. Leave your credit card details for a 12 months contract with first month for free) or can you just have your free month with no further comittment?
I tried to register with Netflix (in US) in the past and they wanted my card details.

Just watched "Requiem for a Dream". God, that movie is SO DEPRESSING. UGH. Just shows what drugs can do to people's lives, I suppose. Still disturbed me...

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
I watched that on Saturday night, its the most depressing end to a movie ever!! The way it's filmed is pretty clever, it captures the escalating need of addiction. I hope you can't be prescribed those scary diet pills nowweirdfilms33 wrote:Just watched "Requiem for a Dream". God, that movie is SO DEPRESSING. UGH. I think you have to give your details over but remember to cancel after the 3 months. I forgot, but mine is only £6 a months so great shakesbirovr wrote:Do you have to commit to any minimum terms of subscription at the time of registration (i.e. Leave your credit card details for a 12 months contract with first month for free) or can you just have your free month with no further comittment?

Watched my big fat gypsy wedding and oh my god. It was interesting to have a glimpse of their lives but how nasty were their dresses!
