You didn't see the size of the slice (in Lancashire they do substantial slices) plus I had syrup sponge and custard for dessert after dinner and I went out for dinner last nightejwrank wrote:Again, Diane, you are being too hard on yourself. I'm sure if you were visiting Lancaster University you were walking around for much of the day, so the slight indulgence of Bakewell tart and a nice dinner with a friend should be your just rewards and certainly nothing to apologise for! Hope the uni visit was a good one.

Re: Weight Watchers
Diane you are 5lbs below target so you can enjoy these treats. Preston and I are so jealous!!!
Off topic but I see you like Liz Earle products ( as does my daughter) so if you b*y the Sunday Telegraph today (costs£2) then you get a voucher inside to take to John Lewis for a free polish and hot cloth worth £5.50.
Walking this morning to and from the cinema as it is cold but fresh here today. Might manage another walk later in the day.
Have a good day everyone.

Menu of the day:
Strawberry and banana smoothie and a black coffee (300 calories)
Cup a soup and a slice of multi-seed bread followed by an apple (300 calories)
Cambridge diet chilli (285 calories) weight watchers chocolate eclair (82 calories)
2 oatcakes (100 calories)
Exercise of the day:
The brisk walk as mentioned above plus a workout with my bands to try and make up for my recent spell of gluttony as I've had about 2000 calories in treats in 2 days - its lovely to have a treat but that is overkill!
Where is everyone else? Preston, havingascreen, Valda, Clarebarr, rawr_xoxo, bettyboop and omgholly plus the expert himself TheyCallMeMrGlass come back. Preston1990 I hope that you are not going to be this elusive next weekend

Re: Weight Watchers
Enjoyed my walk to and from the cinema this morning as it is a lovely fresh day. Stopped at a supermarket on the way back and got a few reduced items - so well pleased.
You'll look fabulous next weekend Diane with your weight lose and your glowing Liz Earle skin!!

Thank you (It will take more than Liz Earle and weight loss for me to look fabulous but its a start and I feel very healthybiggins wrote:Enjoyed my walk to and from the cinema this morning as it is a lovely fresh day. I too love getting a bargain more so at the moment as I have got a bit carried away with all these trips so in between times I'm going to have to be really frugal - I get carried away on the spur of the moment and then realise I do need spending money when I'm visiting these places but it will be worth it
Menu of the day:
Special K with strawberries (300 calories)
Ham salad sandwich and an apple (350 calories)
Cambridge diet vegetable chilli (285 calories) tinned peaches with weight watchers orange jelly and evaporated milk (125 calories) - I was in quality save and spotted these for a bargain price so thought I would try them (very 1970's)
I know that I've had the same dinner 2 days on the run but using up what's in the cupboards on my economy drive.
It will be the exercise DVD today.
What is everyone else up to? Biggins its just us two at the moment, I hope that everyone else is OK

Re: Weight Watchers
Preston will appear again this week when he has cycled for miles and lost the weight he put on last week! He'll be wanting to look his best for the weekend.
Back on the granola for breakfast - I could get quite addicted to it but you can't have a big bowlful unfortunately - too many carbs and calories.
Having a plate of soup and a yoghurt for lunch as going out tonight for something to eat before the theatre. Rubbish day weather wise so no long walk today.

Re: Weight Watchers
Hiya girls and boys,
Had a busy weekend so just caught up with the forum today.
Jojoanne - i LOVE still Game, have you seen it Diane?? its so funny. I was devastated when they took it off air.
ClareBarr - i've never seen Brave yet, my friend went last week and was a little disappointed when the heroine didn't act overly bravely, more like a teen sulking all the time. I'll reserve judgement till I've seen it.
Diane, you'll have to bring a before you started on this healthy eating lifestyle pic with you when you visit. I am a chameleon of different tounges, i can do posh and schemie, plus Italian, Spanish and Arabic
You've not seen my range yet Biggins
Had muslie for breakfast then a banana. Lunch was melanzana parmigiana and salad and some chesera (bread made from semolina) Dinner a tuna roll, 2 packets of crisps and a curly whirly. Gonna have something now as tummy is rumbling. Gawd only knows how many calories i packed in

Re: Weight Watchers
Never heard of Game and I'm impressed with all your linguistic skills
Loving your menus. Biggins I've copied you and gone for the granola but as you can hardly have any I put it with yoghurt.
Menu of the day:
Granola and yoghurt (250 calories)
6 Jacobs chilli savours with pate and cucumber followed by a weight watchers chocolate mousse (300calories) or
Cup a soup with a wholemeal roll and a chocolate mousse (300 calories) - having my tooth protector removed in half an hour so depends on whether I'm numb or not 1st choice is my preferred option.
Ham salad sandwich (350 calories) going straight to the cinema after work.
Possibly a cereal bar and 2 oatcakes (250 calories) for snacks - I know its too many carbs but its time factor and the calories are OK.
Exercise of the day will be a few ripcord exercises at lunch time and after the cinema while watching The Paradise (I will be on my own so won't look like a div in front of everyone)
Have a fun day everyone

Re: Weight Watchers
I'm not sure I can remember everything I ate these last 10 days, but just to let you know, I lost weight. Don't know how much but I can see / feel it. Actually I'm gonna try to calculate roughly how many kilometers I walked during my holidays.

Re: Weight Watchers
Ah, I shouldn't have done that, I'm a bit disappointed by myself
Malmö: 17km
Copenhagen: 13km + 7.9km cycling
Berlin: 41.4km
Total of 71.4km + 7.9km cycling + some swimming in the freezing Swedish sea; in 8 days are there are two days I barely walked around my hosts' places.
