I am soooo tired today :snooze: not had a good day eating wise.

Started off ok with muesli for breakfast, banana for elevenses then a tuna sandwich on brown bread, a pear and an orange for lunch. Afternoon was my downfall, had 2 lattes and a big slice of carrot cake :nono: and i'm gonna have spag bolo for dinner.

hows everyone else doing

Malmö: 17km
Copenhagen: 13km + 7.9km cycling
Berlin: 41.4km
Total of 71.4km + 7.9km cycling + some swimming in the freezing Swedish sea; in 8 days are there are two days I barely walked around my hosts' places.
That is some walking and cycling Octopus and calories don't count when you're on holiday! I don't think the world is ready to see my naked body in the freezing sea - you are brave in more ways than one ;) I'm looking for some nice warm walking boots for when I go - has anyone seen any nice warm walking boots that don't look like walking boots? I know that sounds mad but I was hoping to take a wool coat when I go and as I will be limited on space so can only take one pair. I know it will be cold when I go but I don't think it will be ski jacket type cold plus would be handy for other trips. Its not truly off topic this as it is walking boots I'm after.

You've been poorly hence you're tired so have today as your treat day and take the rest when you need it.

I'm happy to say that I can chew again as my tooth has been sorted it was well worth having a guard on it to save it - you may think differently as you've probably got a headache with all my moaning (so sorry  )
I ended up working until 7.30pm hence missed the film - I gave a patient my ticket so she was very happy and so was I as I hate wasting tickets. I did my Ripcords exercise at lunch time so I can watch The Paradise on the sofa and don't have to be swinging my arms and legs about at the same time. :D

thanks Diane i will o/

Enjoy your new chompers, there's no worse pain than toothache. I've had it for ages but my dentist can't see anything on my xrays and is not going to fix it. Its getting too sore now so surely something is noticeable, must make an appointment.

Not sure what i'm gonna watch tonight but not staying up late, early to bed :snooze:

Hi everyone,

Wow hasn't the weather changed!! I've got the heating on, have taken out all my winter jumpers & am sitting with a hot water bottle!!

It's my birthday this Sunday, & I'm looking forward to a restaurant night on Saturday with boyfriend & 10 friends, I'm not too fussed about eating healthily (it's an American diner).....I weighed myself at the gym the other day, after not having gone for a long while - and my weight has remained the same! I'm very pleased as I thought I would have gained by now.

After this weekend, will be aiming to go back to the gym more to lose weight (rather than just maintaining). I just hope the weather brightens up a bit - not a great incentive to go swimming when it's cold out!!

Poor you with toothache that must be dreadful. I wasn't in pain with my tooth I had broken it and its still my tooth - I haven't had dentures fitted :bwl: I couldn't physically chew as I had a guard on it while it repaired (like when you break an arm) and now have a thin veneer over it.

Calories do not count on your birthday so just have a fabulous time. Well done on maintaining your weight and agree re the weather but it will get better at the weekend.

I actually didn't eat that much... as in "almost not at all"....
I even think I was dehydrated at some point, especially arriving in Berlin, so I was more careful there and started to eat and drink more.
But I've definitely been far more careful this past month than ever, and I like it. I'm at a point I can't stand seeing pictures of me cause it's not how I want to look like. So: exercises in the morning and careful with the food! And I love walking so holidays were perfect for that (even though my feet suffered a lot...)

When you are surrounded by so many different bodies, thin, curvy, old, young, etc, you don't care anymore. When you think about it, it is actually strange that we feel more comfortable with clothes than in our 'natural clothing'. But society taught us that, blablabla...
Anyway. It took me 10 minutes to undress and go to the sauna. An hour after, I was lying on the floor, on my towel, outside, in front of everybody!
Although I'm still very uncomfortable with my body and noticed a few things in my behaviour that shows that I am not psychologically ready for too much social and physical interaction. Like the way I sit, hold my bag, stand at a table etc... I had the opportunity to notice all these little details that block any interaction. So giving myself challenges like this, or like going on a trip with strangers (or staying at a stranger's house and getting robbed, HA), is a good start.

As far as boots are concerned > Debenhams? I found nice boots there last winter (ok, they're about 5 inches high, not convenient...)

I'm impressed with you Octopus setting yourself challenges. I have never really analysed my behaviour in that way.
Hope everyone is keeping well.

Menu of the Day:
Porridge and a black coffee (300 calories)
6 Jacobs savours, pate and cucumber followed by a weight watchers lemon mousse (330 calories)
Jacket poatato and cottage cheese with pineapple (350 calories)
Saving 200 calories for the theatre tonight.

Exercise free day today - they are coming more often  as I'm going to watch Cabaret http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j& ... qE8Yn_rqqw courtesy of the lovely akh43. Very happy with the lovely company of akh43, a fabulous show and its free :cheer:

Good luck with the weigh in Preston1990 o/ I'm hoping I have maintained as I would like to keep the extra 5lbs to play with for Christmas time :cross:

Lokking forawrd to hearing everyone's plans and I hope that you people who having been too well are on the road to recovery.

Morning everyone!

I've found it hard to stick to eating sensibly this week and have even had several forays into crisp, chocolate bar and cookie territory. I haven't done any bike riding (or any other exercise) either due to all sorts of reasons: lack of motivation, laziness, cold and rainy weather, my regular bike mate being away on holiday and feeling biking alone is rather sad. I won't go on. I know that they are all just pathetic excuses really - they wouldn't have stopped me in the past!

I put on 4 pounds last week and was expecting to have put on at least a couple more this week for the reasons listed above. I've actually lost a pound though so I'm quite relieved because it could have been, and maybe should have been, so much worse.

I'm struggling with it all now to be honest, my motivation seems to be at rock bottom at the moment. The desire to be thinner in no way matches my desire to eat and slob around I'm afraid.

Ah well - We'll see what the coming week brings. I need to get a grip! :D

I'm sick of all this horribly wet and cold weather! :(

Hi Preston!!

Well Done on losing the 1lb!!

Please don't give up ... you done sooooo well, losing the 35lbs already. If you're not feeling the motivation to eat healthy ALL the time and exercise LOADS, just exercise a little (better than nothing) and don't deny yourself the 'naughty' treats, but reward yourself with a small treat when you know you've been 'good'. But deffo don't give up - PLEASE!!! You've done so well.
