Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.
Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

I don't think you have to be a Whedon fan to enjoy it. I am, my SO is not and we both enjoyed the poppy dialogue. It's definitely a nerd squee as well, and I now REALLY want a Hawkeye movie!

Saw this today using my Esso voucher and I agree with everyone that it's fantastic fun.
Saw the 2D version (why wouldn't you?) and apart from the annoying **** and his young brat talking and running about (the son not the dad) it was everything you could possibly want.
The interplay is fantastic, most of the characters having a key scene or interchange with another Avenger which either revealed some conflict or produced another witty line. In fact despite all the action I did think at one point there's just been dialogue scenes for about 40 minutes, no bad thing as the lines are so great, but redeeming and brave for such a blockbuster.
Top notch entertainment.

At long last I got to see this today using one of my free tickets, problems initially as they said the free list was suspended for 2 weeks, but eventually managed to get in to the 3D version, DD wanted to see 3D I would have been happy with 2D, tickets would have cost just under £24 if we had been p*ying so not bad in my eyes. Well this certinaly lived upto the hype, we both enjoyed went to the 12 noon screening and was less than 1/2 full so plenty of choice seats wise and no annoying kids, just a man at the end who found everything hilarious!!! The film had plenty of laughs and action, really enjoyed and the time flew it certainly didnt seem like 2 1/2 hours. I would definitely recommend 10/10 for me. I would add I didnt think the 3D was anything special I would have been quite happy seeing in 2D.
Loved the new orange trailer, not seen this before, with the James Buckley from the Inbetweeners and the Expendables 2 cast.

I enjoyed this film, saw it last night at Xscape in Milton Keynes....stayed on to read the credits, pleased I did as there was another scene that sets up a sequel, if one is going to be made.
Very pleased I watched, Ironman and Ironman2, Thor and Captain America, as gives you an idea of who the people involved in the film are.

It does help from a storyline point of view in that you'll have more of an idea behind the motivation of the villain and so on. Promise, you can follow it without having seen any of them (it's not an overly deep movie.)
