Well in truth I would have totally ignored the suggestion from the waiter that you should leave and I would today be penning a letter (or tapping an email to said All You Can Eat Buffet) telling them you were very disappointed/actually quite appalled by their treatment of their esteemed, p*ying customers. And how sad that now you wouldn't be able to recommend their establishment to the 2000+ people you know online who were all dying to eat there.

But we are all very glad to hear that you had a successful meet-up and enjoyed the day. And hope that Diane's daughter enjoyed the uni visit too.
:bwl: It was really to do with the time and it was just reminding us that if we stayed later it would be the evening prices but in saying that the amount of food I was shovelling in there wouldn't be much left for anyone else if I (we) had stayed much longer  ;) Just about to do my DVD before I start making dinner as trying to redeem myself after yesterday's behaviour - I just got in with the wrong crowd and was led astray! ;)

She loved the uni - its her second favourite after Lancaster but either would be good.

And a lovely day was had by all - great seeing Diane and Preston again. Diane looks fabulous and young Preston is looking pretty good too!

This is a great thread - I've been lurking around reading how well everyone else is doing. Keep it up everyone - we'll be fantastic by Christmas (my wish)

Hi everyone,

Have had a really indulgent birthday weekend!! Had dinner with 14 (!) friends last night. We went to an American diner & I ordered chicken fajitas, & had a few cocktails. Today my boyfriend & I met his parents for a carvery followed by a BIG ice cream sundae, then boyfriend & I went to cinema & I had a (free) birthday Subway cookie! It all tasted yummy, but feeling a tad guilty though now....although I'm pleased to say my boyfriend's Mum said she thinks I'm looking more toned than when she last saw me - so that me feel a bit better!!

Exactly birthdays are for being indulgent and calories don't count. So pleased that you had a fun day.

Glad to hear it, it wasn't just the constant rustling that was irritating (plus lack of sharing) but also at a poignant moment in the film you decided to open a can of something. :nono:  :giggle: A banana, grapes or a sandwich are quiet and healthy. Glad to see that you are scared of girls :sofa:

Menu of the day:
Smoothie with a banana and strawberries followed by a black coffee (300 calories)
Butternut squash cup a soup with a wholemeal roll followed by an activia yoghurt (425 calories) What a lot of calories for what it is - should really have a low cal soup and a smaller roll.
Weight watchers quiche with rocket, tomatoes, cucumber and balsamic vinegar followed by 2 kiwi. (400 calories)
2 oatcakes after the cinema (100 calories)

Exercise of the day will be a couple of Ripcord workouts.

Have a fun day everyone and looking forward to hearing your plans of the day o/

So glad you had a lovely birthday Clarebarr and it is always a day to enjoy without counting calories. :p

r33eh why must you have a snack at the cinema?? Snacks are distracting no matter what you are eating for the people sitting around you. Unless you have come straight from work and not eaten then have a bottle of water to keep your hands occupied. I can never understand how people that crunch and rustle throughout a film can hear it themselves! :wall:

Today's menu: breakfast was a small bowl of granola and a banana and cup of tea. Going to daughter's house today for lunch which will be her homemade soup and a sandwich. Going to the cinema tonight so will have a quick bite of something light before I go. (so no crunching in cinema ;) ).

Have had a twenty minute walk into the west end of town to b*y something and then twenty minute walk back. Dry today so will walk to the cinema tonight - about 25minutes but will get a lift back.

Have a good day everyone. o/

Hey guys, I see some of you hooking up and having a good time in Newcastle, cool stuff...checking out each other's new sexy bodies but maintaining enough control to avoid family corruptions ;)

I too have been on a weekend break break in Basingstoke for a friend's wedding. Oh man, the wedded couple sure knew how to throw a party that even my alter ego MrG succumbed to the evil temptations of this devilishly intoxicating event. I uh...completely let rip and was literally one of the last two guests to leave the party in which I felt myself in carefree spirits, gallivanting about, kangaroo dancing with a bottle of champagne in my hand...yeah literally a bottle of champagne in my hand, this party was sparing no expense that even PrettyXCool would for once be jealous of missing out. Just the one off, I promise. It was the cheat day but this was admittedly a bloody big cheat day. My mate (who is often my running partner) and I were the last two to leave at 3am having sadly scared off the single ladies away by that time, we realised the damage done to our bodies (and perhaps to our reputations) from the alcohal so we decided we'll wake up 7am and go for a run. Yeah right, never gonna happen...oh but it did, it did happen! Amazingly, despite the mental state I was in, I had set my phone alarm for 7am, which woke me up whereupon everything I had shockingly done previous day resurface in my mind and thus spitted me out of bed. I forced my mate out too and with much determination we ran a very hilly 6km around forests, private land, various cattle and encounters with a charging reindeer (which made us run even faster). Then somehow we found ourselves back at our hotel inn. And it felt good. We were the first ones to have our breakfast too.

When you have a cheat day, enjoy it. Dont go overboard if you can help it, only at special events allow yourself to stretch it a bit more. Main thing is to alway get back on track straight away! Today I am seeing Perks of a Wildflower by which I will take the opportunity to run another 9km from the cinema. Foodwise, had porridge for breakfast (HAS, Diane, I can now eat porridge without any honey, sugar, and have grown to love it now!). Right now for my lunch having mackerel with lentils, corn and spinach, with tomato puree and herbs to flavour it up.

Healthy food you think you dont like, you can grow to like. I have grown to love so much healthy food which in the past I absolutely hated.

Unfortunately I got a letter from the London Virgin Marthon people that I was unsuccessful in my ballot entry :( I know its a ballot entry but I was really really hoping I can get in. I wont let it demoralise me though, I can still keep my target, so I might do the Edinburgh marathon again in May instead :-). I dont believe marathons are actually healthy so I dont plan to ever run marathons after my next one but I need to do one more and to do it under 4 hours. My Edinburgh marathon, was a great personal achievement but I know I am capable of doing a much better time than what I did then. Once I've achieved that, I'll stick to the more enjoyable half marathons which doesnt take too much of my time in training for.

Sorry I missed your birthday Clarebarr, hope you had a great one, and enjoyed your well deserved indulgence!

Have a a healthy week everyone, dont forget those veggies in your menus :)

Looks like this weekend was party time all around with just Biggins behaving like an angel. So glad that you had a fun night and life is for living.

I totally agree with the liking food more the healthy way - I used to always put butter on my corn on the cob and now I wouldn't dream of it.

I am back on the health kick now for the week as I'm meeting up with some friends in London on Saturday and they could lead me astray :shifty: ;) I will do my Ripcords after the cinema tonight.
