Please forgive the blurriness. Lumix cams are absolute crap when it comes to night shots.

The bald guy wearing a leather jacket on the first picture is a friend of mine. He got the best seat out of all of us. He was sitting next to the celebrities.

I got caught up at work and when I arrived at the theatre to collect our tickets, there were only 2 tickets left. Worst time ever to invite friends to come along. However, I was really lucky and managed to get another 2 tickets from some ladies who were handing out tickets to other guests. Some didn't show up so they gave us 2 tickets when the show was about to start. :D

Regarding the show, it was good fun. I really enjoyed the guest acts. I found the main act somewhat repetitive, though. Oh, we managed to grab the thread that was used in one of the illusions!

Btw, was it just me or didn't H. Klok look like Dieter Bohlen's long lost brother? :D

I couldn't get any photos of the show as the usher was standing right next to us as we had end seats, but here are some photos on the red carpet and at the after party :D

:giggle: ansbro81's friend felt it on his head! and mandmc10 who was in the second from front row of the stalls said she could see the trap doors! But still thought the illusions were very good - extremely fast to trick the eye!

I just told my mum this and her response was 'again?'. You're getting a reputation Ms Celini.

I really enjoyed the show of Hans Klok and his guests! Was an amazing night out, fortunately we did decide to take our chances and get tickets despite the e-mail from SFF saying they were cancelled... I agree on how lucky we are to get to see these things for free! I LOVE London! (and FMUK too, of course!!)

Houdini show gets 4 out of 5 stars in today's Evening Standard: http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/comedy/re ... -review.do

I went to the very first preview and was amazed by some of his tricks and illusions. The acrobats were brilliant too, especially Me and You.

By the end of the show though I was suffering from 'box' fatigue. As in, I had stopped caring who was going to appear in which box when, as the trick was being done so often. I also thought he should have left out the final 'Jaws of Death' trick as the 'jaws' looked like they were made out of cardboard and the trick itself was nowhere near as good as the previous 'water escape' one.

Last moan - my hands were knackered from clapping so often. Are magicians the only entertainers that demand to be applauded after every single little bit of the trick leading up to the finale of each? Imagine if comedians demanded a round of applause after every single joke!

LOL, having said all of the above, I really enjoyed the evening and wish him the very best of luck with his show.

HYD

That's exactly what I thought! They may as well remove the matinee from list now... 4 minutes left!
