I work in an office, but not to this system. And a fair few other members also work non-standard hours/days.

Well I am sorry if you don't but I know a lot more people that work normal hours than those who don't and I wanted to alert people. I am not sure why you have to bring negativity into something nice I wanted to do.

Folks, in case you hadn't noticed yet, but Easter is quite late next year, so if anyone took off the week commencing 25 April plus the week after, they'd get 17 days by taking only 8 days off as the second week has the first May Bank Holiday in it! Unfortunately, I was pipped to the post with those two weeks (I am having the week before Easter off now) but just thought I'd alert people!

No good for me work I work shifts including all public hols, but mum & hubby are keeping fingers x to book these days off on Monday!

Have fun Diane. I've never been to Holland - is Amsterdam really as messed up as Mr. Vincent Vega describes it?

EDIT: I'm sure it's not a messed up city but legality of things over there is much more relaxed right?

Thank you so much and also to MrGlass and Tilly. Holland is such a beautiful place; Amserdam is certainly relaxed on all levels from the fragrance that greats you at the train station to the working ladies selling their wares it is an eye opener (I know you're still at school hence putting it politely ), we also visited Leiden which is a beautiful university city, Delft - very quaint and The Hague where the parliament etc is and had a mad idea to visit the North Sea at 10pm which was extremely dark and daunting but strangely nice.

Tilly I'm sure you will be able to go on holiday soon, I missed a wedding when I was 34 weeks as no airline would let me fly but made up for it as I was able to fly when she was 3 weeks old to be a bridesmaid for my best friend which was a huge incentive to get in shape as her sister who was also a bridesmaid is stunning, 5ft 8inch and a size 8 (the closest I come to any of them is being 5ft 6inch), so your time will come soon enough and you will have all of Christmas off work

I went to Amsterdam to see Robbie Williams one year, at the Ajax Stadium. I was absolutely terrified of the bycyles racing around, what with them and the trams I was extremely nervous about walking! It was a beautiful place and worth visitng

That would be an incentive diane to lose weight. I have 2 weddings next year. One is in New Zealand and the other in Jamaica. ONly thing is will a 3 month old want to fly

had my belly button pierced today on my photography trip *snigger* we got separated from the group when lunch came around, thought wed catch up using the timetable wed been given, went to the gallery at the time(even got there 10 minutes early and waited) and no one we knew turned up, so us being a group of 5 girls instantly said, shopping trip!
had a look around topshop, ALMOST got a top but thought to myself, "no! i dont need it!" , walked around river island, Abi my friend got her finger caught in a ring xD
went to krispy kremes(sorry mrglass!) had 2 doughnuts each, very nice! then as we were walking towards the baskerville statue, we saw blue banana were doing a 10 pound offer on all piercings :o i got my belly button done, and emma got a bar through her ear :))
very productive day aha

How fabulous! Its a doddle to fly when they are that young as you can just put them in a baby sling and you get treated like royalty on the plane, I flew with my daughter at 3 weeks on my own so go for it and have fun
