What country are you in Demerera ? Somewhere nice, I hope. :cross:
If there's not much to do over there at least you can still join in the film discussions etc, and you never know, there might be a few comps that are worth entering for free tickets to use when you are next in the country.
I am in Mauritius bevvy. That tiny island off the east coast of Africa. Hehe, we only have 8 cinemas here and only 2 of them show movies from the West, the rest specialising in Bollywood :( Also, while now it doesn't take long for them to show movies currently out in Europe (they're showing Harry Potter & Ice Age 3 right now), there are many movies that are never shown here. Of course, no free screenings :tears:

And I'll definitely look out for those comps!! :p

Is she away? Or is it just that she doesn't have net access at work (I think!) and doesn't post as much now?

She's on holiday this week, in Sussex. She's still taking in a free screening whilst she's away but I don't think she has any kind of mobile internet.

No, neither can I. On holiday I use it to look up restaurants, places to visit etc. It saves so much time and money. I sometimes wish that I had a printer with me to print money off coupons etc but that would be going a bit far!
At the same time I can see that it could be quite a relaxing and liberating experience to be away somewhere remote with no modern day intrusions like mobile phones or internet - I'll have to try it sometime.

Sure there must be portable printers around somewhere!

Demerara, you're luck even if it's an extended holiday! I've not left this country since 1999! :( Always one reason or another that prevents me. :(

And I thought I was hard done by not having used my passport for travel for over 8 years 8O
It has just expired and I am wondering if it is worth renewing it but it is the only form of photo id that I possess. I had to use it recently to prove my identity at a Woolworths free kids screening!

I wondered why photo ID includes an unexpired passport. After all if the photo is of you and it looks like you what matter does it make if the passport has expired??
