Re: Introduce Yourself...
Hello
Thought I'd pop my head above the parapet to introduce myself
I'm in Essex and enjoy many different types of films, comedy, horror, drama, factual, sci fi, epics ..
My hubby and I have been to see a couple of free films using SFF codes that were advertised in the press recently and thought we'd love to see more so here we are.
The films we saw were 'The Hundred Foot Journey' a couple of weeks ago and 'Pride' yesterday.
Both films were excellent and even more so because they were free!
The Hundred Foot Journey was a lovely heartwarming, feel good film - easy to watch and we came out smiling.
Pride was also a great watch - we both remember the miners strike of 1984 but had no idea about the GLSM support for miners. Pride was funny, thought provoking, upsetting at times to see how people can treat those they don't know, a poignant ending that made me cry a little but fantastic music that I remember well from my younger days.
I haven't come across any codes for films in our area on FMUK yet but hope to soon and will report back as soon as we've seen more - my hubby is hoping for some Hobbit codes at the end of the year but we won't hold our breath as we expect they'll be like gold dust!
Well you were right, that was not as scary as I imagined, having never been on a 'forum' in my life before, I think I may have waffled on a little too much but hey ho, there we go (that rhymes!)

Hey! I'm Daniel - fan of old cinema as well as indie and foreign films. Frequenter of Curzon and Picturehouse, and pursuer of free cinema - if I see any SFF codes I'll post them on here!

Re: Introduce Yourself...
Hey everyone, I'm new, obviously, and I like a huge variety of films, from Hitchcock to Lars Von Trier. I used to love horror films but as I get older I can't watch the gory stuff as much as used to. The kind of film I like depends on what mood I'm in but at the moment I'm watching a lot of historical films. I used to be a huge David Lynch fan.
looking forward to talking to some of you :)

Re: Introduce Yourself...
Hi All! I live in London and work as a headhunter in the consumer sector.
I like foreign language films and I studied and speak French and German. Otherwise I like most genres apart from some horror films (eg hostel and saw) and 'gross out' comedies. My favourite films are pans labyrinthe, star wars (the original ones), star trek, The lives of others, inception, skyfall, shawshank redemption and back to the future.
I am looking forward to seeing some free films
Thanks
Emma
