It's usually first come first served.
I didn't get tickets for Shappi Khorsandi which I am annoyed about.

Had the worst experience in a tv audience ever last night at Million Pound Drop. I was so annoyed at how the audience was so badly treated. Even with priority tickets we were told to arrive before 19:15 for a show which goes out live at 22:00. This wasn't much fun in the rain, but it got much worse. At about 20:15 we were taken to a security room where we had to surrender all our belongings including our coats. We were then herded into a big freezing cold bleak room to sit on hard wooden benches for an hour. Nobody had a coat and so many people were really freezing cold. It was like effing SAS training. We had to ask permission to go to the loo, and then be escorted to a portaloo outside. Just after 21:10 we were moved in batches to the studio (with several waits outside in the cold in yet more queues). Despite being near the front of the original queue no thought had been pa*d to the order of letting people in and people rushed to get a good standing position at the barriers (there were no seats). I couldn't see a bloody thing. Whenan usher asked if some of us would like to move to a better view we jumped at the chance but they were just trying to fill spaces and the view was bloody worse. There was no warm-up act as such, just a bloke who ran through a prescriptive list of do's and dont's. The programme finally started at 22:00 and Davina was fab and we enjoyed the show. But it went on and on and only finished at 23:30. Loads of people were worried about the tubes, but security held us in the studio and then we had to queue again to get our bags back. We had to run to the underground, and thankfully caught the last tube to get home.
I've been to about half a dozen tv recordings, and I have never felt do poorly treated. I also used to work in tv so I'm not over-awed by the process.

Sorry to hear it! Every time I've been to a TV show, the queues just been horrendous, so I've tended to avoid them especially when I can watch it from the comfort of home!
I did wonder though, does anyone shout up the answers at The Million Pound Drop? Some of there questions are oh so st*pid... Susan Boyle as an answer from last night???

I've never seen the show so have no idea whaat its like but its a bit off treating people like that. After all, where would they be if there were no audience?

The BBC give stickers and call out the numbers for entrance, but, they do seat you randomly.
