Well what a coincidence, I just finished watching Strangers on a Train - a brilliant Hitchcock thriller with immaculate cinematography. I love both Rear Window and North by Northwest, enjoy them, they are works of art! o/

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.

I had low expectations, so it was better than I anticipated and some strong supporting British actors although Pierce Brosnan as a centaur looked ridiculous! :giggle:

Hitchcock is and always my favourite director of all time. I have seen most of his movies, even his silent ones!

Yesterday I watched True Grit (John Wayne version). This is one of those films that I cant believ I have not seen, being a lover of old classics. So here was my opportunity to rectify that. And god I wish I had seen this when I was a kid. I f I did, John Wayne would have been my god. I've seen many of of his other films and yeah the Duke was a badass but here in true grit....there was just one scene that just totally blew me away. Back in the 80s and 90s Arnie was one of my favourite modern action heros and then in T2 when Arnie rode the Harley davidson chasing AFTER another terminator, one hand on the handle bar, the other hand, a shot gun, which he continuosly fires and then reloads one handed...from there on he wasnt just my favourite action hero, he was god! But I dont think he would have been eleveated to that status if I had seen John Wayne riding a horse facing off to 4 bad guys, charging AT them one hand firing a pistol and the other hand firing a shot gun, reloading it one handed. Now he's my god of heroes ;) What a scene. The film was thoroughly enjoyable too but I hated hated the lazy soundtrack, it was a complete rip off of The Magnificent Seven with a few bars moved around to avoid copyright and it was played so randomly, totally ruining the mood of certain scenes. But the Duke was the man, even in his older age.

Look forward to seeing the remake on Wednesday but I know already as much as I love the Dude, he cant touch the Duke.

Watched The Big Bang Theory last night, it's a lovely show but I do think that the actor playing Sheldon is the show.

I like the whole cast, Sheldon is good but Howard just kills me. It's a great show to watch. Bazinga.

They are indeed, seen them a number of times and never tire of seeing them again, particularly North by Northwest.
