LOL. My passport expired in 2001 and I only renewed it in April 09 because I had a new job that required it since my driver's license wasn't enough nor my birth certificate! Really hated the passport picture too! :(

Hope to make use of it sometimes in the next ten years though!

Demerara, you're luck even if it's an extended holiday! I've not left this country since 1999! :( Always one reason or another that prevents me. :(
I can't complain I guess but honestly I'd have rather stayed in London :p There's always so much to see/do there!!

a_person and bevvy : you've had breaks within the UK though haven't you?

No no no, definitely not that nice. Right not I'm connected through a phone-line modem and windows is showing connection speed as 46.6Kbps. 8O

They do have a lot of French/Brit/Saffa expats here so I guess it can be really good if you are loaded!!!

Hooray, on holiday for 3 weeks! I'll still be up and whizzing about at the crack of dawn but at least I won't be going to work!

Are you going anywhere nice or just relaxing at home?

A great start to the day. I have just cowered in bed for half an hour being terrorised by a wasp (I am allergic to their stings). I then pulled a heavy blind away from its fixings and onto my head in an effort to get it to leave via the window. I finally managed to swat the thing only to discover that it wasn't a wasp after all - just a very noisy hoverfly! :wall:

Oh well, the day can only get better - I'm off now to take the car for its MOT :cross:

I don't do relaxing anywhere! But yes, I am going away, although not until the middle week of the 3. Waiting until all the children are safely back at school.
