Re: The Diary Room
The SRO Audience screenings film the Q&A afterwards so want people present which is why they can become a bit bossy and shoo people around - also last time they left us out in the cold forever beforehand. The only other audience thing I have ever done was for Martin Lewis' show a few years back and that was fun and I thought we were treated very well. It was shot at Whiteley's and I think they even gave us a discount for Cafe Rouge or something.

Re: The Diary Room
Most of those questions are seriously hard though as they are just guessing games. Who is older, which film was out first, who was never on the cover of Playboy - how on earth would you know? Now and then some questions are easy, or if you read this day's papers you will know but otherwise - not a clue. I always find it a miracle if they come away with anything at all.superhero wrote:I did wonder though, does anyone shout up the answers at The Million Pound Drop? Some of there questions are oh so st*pid... Susan Boyle as an answer from last night???

Re: The Diary Room
Compared to the Who wants to be a millionaire questions, they are noticeably easier but then again Channel 4 only picks certain people to go on their show

Re: The Diary Room
I don't think they are easier at all. I often enough know the Millionaire questions up to a certain point as they are general knowledge questions. But I wouldn't know which politician is older than another by a year or whatever they are asking in the Million Pound drop. If you are not too stupid I think it's easier to make money on Who Wants to be a Millionaire! At least they give you three lifelines, although they have started this stupid answering against the clock for the early questions now as well - for the others though they give you ample time to think them through.

You can play along online at the same time as the contestants.
I sometimes have won 25 or 50 grand but most times come away with nothing.
Its usually a total guess for me for the last few questions

Re: The Diary Room
Wouldn't you be very tempted to cheat by looking up answers on wikipedia though? I know I certainly would.

Re: The Diary Room
We were warned not to discuss the answers amongst ourselves. And I think all our stuff was confiscated (mobile phones, newspapers, even the pennies in our pockets) partly in case any if this could be used to communicate with the contestants to cheat. Trust me, even if I had some kind of code they would have been dumb to listen to me as most answers were a total guess.superhero wrote:Sorry to hear it! Re: The Diary Room
He he, well you might remember how the Major got to a million in Who Wants to be a Millionaire - a series of coughs. I would have been no good for him though, I am basically coughing non-stop right now! And I am only joking, I wouldn't cheat on national TV. Only at home in the comfort of my own living room, LOL.
