I don't really have to b*y Christmas presents either Tilly. Maybe work will want stuff for charity presents like they normally do

Not really fussed by the Royal Wedding but a thumbs up to the extra bank holiday on 29th April 2011.

Lovely that most of us will only have a three day week that week!

Announced a little earlier.

The wedding is the Friday of the week that is Easter Monday. Been confirmed by David Cameron that it will be a bank holiday.

I vaguely remember the Prince Charles and Princess Diana wedding. I recall the atmosphere was exciting and momentous and I somehow, dont think there will be any other occasion to match it until William is crowned King of England. At school we were all given a momento wedding coin in a special clear plastic hard case. It had a face value of £5. I still have it. Thinking about it now, that was bloody generous of the school, I mean where did they have the budget to give us such an expensive item!

I am very much pro monarchy btw. Its what gives this country its identity and charm. I hope they will stay forever.

They estimate the cost of policing and security at the wedding will be around £5million! That's silly money. I'd have more respect for the happy couple if they got hitched in Vegas and just had a private party for their friends, saving us the money and the media coverage...
