prettyxcool wrote:milkchocmonkey and I went to the freixenet "very impromptu party' tonight to include a masterclass with Brendan Cole. And what fun we had. It was held at Amika, billed as one of London's most glamorous members clubs. On arrival, we had a freixenet cava cocktail, then our group was invited into another room for the masterclass. Along the way we picked up some pink and black feather boas. Brendan was in his element, showing us all the moves, which we had to follow for the salsa, and cha cha and ended up with a scene from Dirty Dancing! Then it was photos and autograph time, with more cava and then canapes to follow.

Brendan is such a nice guy, really friendly and enjoying himself, even posing for the upteenth time for photos and signing autographs. Them we left with a goody bag filled with more freixenet cava, douwe egberts pure gold coffee plus 50p off voucher, choc and fudge bars, licorice, and two friexenet bottle key rings.

A great evening, thanks to superhero. o/

I know from personal experience it can be difficult to diagnose the exact problem, and eye drops aren't always the solution. Let's hope it's a one-off event and not the first sign of something permanent..

I made up a get well card from FMUKers for Beate, pasting in all your get well wishes, and she seems very pleased to get it, although I stopped her reading the comments, as she was finding it difficult to read. Unfortunately, I thought she looked worst than when I saw her on Monday. Now both eyes were swollen red and looked really, really sore! But she said her left eye felt a lot better. Luckily, she seems in better spirits today, and seems resigned to the fact that she has to make the best of being in hospital. She had more bloods tests today though. Poor Beate. I left her with more goodies, and hope that in some way, it will make her stay a little more comfortable.

Beate briefly logged in using bevvy's laptop, she wanted to do some mod thing!
