Re: Weight Watchers

#3861 Post by biggins » Wed Dec 12, 2012 9:33 am

I was very good yesterday as I went swimming in the morning although couldn't use the outdoor pool as it was only 5 degrees outside so it was too cold for them to open it. So had a good swim indoor in the warmth and a walk to the supermarket afterwards. Also walked to and from the cinema in the evening and tried to eat less than I had been.

However, today is the start of the Xmas meals out. Hubby and I are off to spend the night in a hotel near Aberfoyle. Sticking to the main roads to get there as the ice has been very bad on some roads in that area. We have been to this hotel before so we know what the meals will be like. As it is near Xmas we are getting a glass of mulled wine and homemade mincemeat pies on arrival. Three course meal this evening with coffee and mints. Also a full cooked breakfast in the morning.

Stopping for lunch on the way there but will just have a plate of soup as it will be less damaging before tonight's main meal.

Don't have much hope after that for a good reading on the scales on Friday morning but I am going to enjoy it and all the other meals that are coming up and will bother about the weight after January.

Hope you all have a good day.

I have just got an exercise bike, diet alone no longer seems to work for me, so going to try & burn a minimum of 500 calories a day on it, which will hopefully lead to a pound a week weight loss, I read 3500 = 1 pound & 7700 =1kg, no wondr its so hard to shift the weight once it goes on!
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

I've been good today as I have only been to the dentist tonight and almost to The Voice at media city - didn't get in as its first come first served. Tomorrow its another Christmas do but its dancing as well so if I dance all night it should equal out. :cross: Good luck with your weigh in tomorrow Biggins o/
Its Christmas so lets just enjoy ourselves :cheer: We'll all be around in the new year to get back on track and be good in between our treats.

Think I'll need to borrow your bike Rainey!! Another 1lb gain this week!! :noo: Still can't complain as it is a wonder it was not more. Had a fabulous time away for the night at the hotel. It is an old fashioned mansion which was decorated beautifully for Xmas with decorations and tinsel everywhere. We were the only ones there and treated like royalty. Welcomed with a glass of mulled wine and homemade mince pies and given a huge family room with four beds and sofa and chairs in it. Delicious three course meal in the restaurant and the coffee was brought to the lounge so we sat in front of a log fire with Xmas music softly playing. Well worth the 1lb gain!!!

As we are going away to a hotel for Xmas this year I don't know how much I'll gain if that was one night and we are away for four nights!!!

Still we can start again as we know we can do it if we really try and it is just to hard to resist all the goodies when it is so cold outside.

Another day of cold wintry weather and not much time etc for exercise. Going out tonight for an Italian meal and then off to see Dirty Dancing at the Playhouse. Will try to be good eating wise during the day so not too much damage tonight. :cross:

Hope everyone is behaving themselves! o/

Have a good evening Biggins and I'm ashamed to say I'm not behaving my self  Did dance all night on Friday at works do but had a mince pie at the cinema on Saturday followed by a large bowl of hotpot at a house party in the evening (only exercised my mouth there eating and chatting) and then went to Trentham Gardens on Sunday where we had a bowl of soup but huge piece of bread that required to packets of butter followed by a substantial scone with clotted cream and jam (I did eat it in stages though - too stuffed to eat there so had one side at my friends and then the other half when I got home an hour later :shifty: )

Lets all keep posting and have a fun time o/
