Stop the guilt, ladies! It's the run-up to Xmas and you are allowed to indulge in clotted cream, lots of butter, mince pies and other assorted goodies. I hereby give you all an amnesty until the New Year when you can return to your calorie counting, exercise videos and long jogs home from the cinema down the motorway. Eat away and consider it your reward for being so good all year.

I thought I had better listen to the voice of reason (aka ejwrank) so have done my duty and b*ght a bottle of mulled wine. Hoping someone else will supply the other goodies!

Could I have an extension to that amnesty please? I am going away for some sunshine on the 6th January for two weeks to Gran Canaria - all inclusive - need I say more!!!

Ejwrank rocks

It looks like we will all be taking your expert advice - Tracey Anderson DVD is now back in the drawer where she belongs and the Bailey's will be opened on Saturday

Weighed myself this morning and have lost a pound - the one I found last week!!!!

I had my six months checkup yesterday at the diabetic clinic and the nurse laughed when I said I had been recycling some pounds over the past few weeks but she and the doctor were pleased I had lost a stone since my last visit. This has kept my blood sugar levels (HbA1c) at 7.0 and my cholestrol down to 3.8 - well pleased!!!!

Don't know what will happen over the next few weeks with being away on two holidays but at least I know I can do it and can recover any weight gain and blood sugar levels by cutting down again on the carbs.

Going into town for last minute shopping and then packing bags tomorrow for going on Sunday morning to Slaley Hall hotel for Xmas.
