I've not gotten round to watching any of them yet. After West is West I watched The American Apprentice and Boardwalk Empire

Before I went to West Is West I watched 35 Shots Of Rum on DVD, but I just could not get the French subtitles to work. Fortunately there was less dialogue than in most films and I managed but wouldn't choose not to have the subtitles to fall back on.

And now my second DVD won't play the film at all - and that's after I was forced to sit through no fewer than 4 trailers which the system would not allow me to fast-forward as I usually do if they look dire. So I've had it with Sofa Cinema and have cancelled my membership.

Les Diaboliques. Pretty damn creepy French noir. Loved the twist at the end. 5 stars

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.
Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

Orig. Terminator plus Kurosawa's The Hidden Fortress. Former is fantastic sci-fi but too much 80s Nostalgia for me to think it better than Terminator 2, latter an extremely entertaining samurai film which influenced George Lucas when making Star Wars.
