So, I went to All New People because I actually started to feel guilty not to go to the theatre and stay home in front of my computer instead.
Anyway, I loved it, and it made me want to see it again... with Zach Braff!
Not that the other actors were bad - on the contrary, there were really good and funny - but I'm curious to see Braff playing such a role.
Thanks c_t for the alert!

I also noticed people on another thread saying they were VIP but couldn't book and got the Invited Guest List message when they tried.
I was also emailed the code for Soul Sister on Saturday (am not a VIP). I thought it might be because it was in my local area, but that is just guesswork.

Plays never get a long run in london (or anywhere for that matter). I think it accounts for maybe 15% of all theatre business. (80 musicals and 5 for opera/ballet)

True that they don't run for years and years like some musicals, but early closing notices (over 2 months in this case I think) is always a sad thing for those involved in the production.

its a shame when the good shows close early, and crap ones go on and on.

Whilst the royal con artists are never going to be a popular topic anyway, the play and movie deserved some attention by basically making the plight of an incompetent twit interesting and watchable - quite a feat.

Perhaps people have had too much of the whole King's Speech thing forced onto them by the media. They advertised that movie to death and everyone was talking about it for ages, which sometimes has a negative effect by hackneying the franchise to death.

They're actually blaming the movie. They were working on the play before the film came out but delayed it when it came out. And are now saying it's maybe still too soon after. I would've assumed they could ride on the success of the film but guess the opposite is the case.
