Thanks, I just hope the mix up last night doesn't jeopardise further tickets with SFF for this or anything else, everyone can make mistakes.

Me and my sister went to see 'Soul Sister' this afternoon. We had no trouble at all with tickets. Got a front row circle seat. Theatre was about 90% full. My sister really enjoyed this. I thought the first half was a bit slow, but necessary to tell the story, but i didn't know any of the songs (if they were famous!!) ..the second half was much more livelier because it told the story of life after 'Ike'. The actress who played 'Tina' had a very powerful voice.

Yes, the songs were well known! (I fear I am showing my age again, here).

And yes there were absolutely no issues with collecting tickets - we got stalls row K - good seats!

My age must be creeping up on me too as I knew most songs!

Glad everything was OK with tickets today, they did say yesterday that there was an allocation for today so thought you'd be OK, it was just Friday that had the issue.

Saw Singin' in the Rain last night which was just wonderful! I thought all the main actors were spot on with their portrayals of the characters and the show really managed to mimick the style and feel of the film very well. Adam Cooper was marvellous as Don (dare I say, just as good as Gene Kelly), Daniel Crossley's Cosmo continued to make this my favoure character, Scarlett Strallen was very sweet as Kathy (and that's another Strallen currently in the West End I can scratch off my to-see my list) and Katherine Kingsley's voice for Lina was hilariously over the top.

The rain scenes were of course the most anticipated and I can't say I was disappointed with how they turned out; great effects and choreography and a lot of laughter from the audience upon the rain being kicked into the first few rows of the stalls.

However, having said all that it surprisingly did not manage to creep into my list of current favourite West End shows (Matilda, Ghost, Rock of Ages). The show was a tad too long, the sound during the musical numbers wasn't loud enough and I was slightly disappointed that my favourite scene/song (Cosmo's "Make 'Em Laugh") wasn't quite as spectacular and funny as it is in the movie.

Still, a very enjoyable musical and I am glad I finally got this change to see it.

9.5/10

And many thanks to superhero for the head's up of the competition! We were picked up with a shuttle and brought to the theatre too which was a really nice touch :D

Dang, I hope they come up for Saturday at the O2 too (sorry Ansbro)! I didn't care for them when they were popular in the nineties, but I'd LOVE to go for the lolz and to reminiscence
