LOL that's how I felt when we were watching Chalet Girl the other day. I think ejwrank felt cold too. I had to cover myself with my coat.

Anyway I saw this at Wimbledon, caught up with Tilly and kaybeelon before hand which was a nice surprise.
I didn't really gel with the film, the acting was solid enough but it didn't engage me, which it should of, give the subject matter. 6/10

I'ts like that when you get on a plane in a hot country, but at least they supply the blankets (well usually!)

I keep a lightweight scarf in my bag even in summer. I find I'm okay if my neck is warm.

Did anybody see Fair Game? What did you think of it? I really enjoyed it and thought it was good touch to see the real footage of the senate meeting as the credits rolled.

Any thoughts anyone?

Ms Thrifty wrote:All the points made above about the cinema itself (i.e. poorly-sited drink-holders, aircon way too high, poor sightlines) chime with those in my Archipelago review. Of course there's nothing to stop any of us offering Curzon unsolicited comments, but what a shame they didn't use the opportunity of these screenings to ask for feedback on the cinema itself. I'll just avoid it in future unless the screening is free and there's no alternative!

I emailed Curzon Millbank yesterday and gave a full critique of the seats and cinema environment and asked how a new cinema could get it so wrong. It's not as if they had to make do with a difficult layout/cramped space/etc but could and should have created a really nice, comfortable cinema. They promote the place by saying it's the only cinema in the area so why did they make such a mess of it? I shall await their response. Big question is--what do I do if they compensate me free tickets? My back is still aching from sitting through Fair Game two days ago.
