It was a screening for 'filmclub' which is mostly for schools but there were also various comps posted in the comp section.
It was actually a multimedia/press screening. I think they offer tickets to 'filmclub' so that there are plenty of the film's intended audience (ie. kids and families) and not just critics and bloggers. The Rango, Rio and Cars 2 press screenings did the same thing I think.
I won tickets from the comp I posted:

Yes they've also been giving away tickets to multimedia screenings through competitions quite a lot recently. The Rio, Cars 2, Green Lantern and Fright Night screenings, though mainly for critics and bloggers, also had comps for tickets. It's quite difficult to fill the large West End cinemas with just critics, so they have to give tickets away in other ways. Obviously they also get Showfilmfirst to give away tickets as well, like they did with the Thor and Transformers 3 screenings at the Odeon Leicester Square.

Quite a funny film, which both adults & children could enjoy. Staff at Wimbledon didn't ask to see the cutting from the newspaper-which was a relief as I lost it the other day! Worth getting up early for.

This turned out to be unexpectedly charming with some good set pieces and a couple of running gags. Even Jim Carrey's regular set pieces fitted in nicely instead of being incredibly irritating. Loved Pippi and the penguins and Popper's apartment!
Kingston was full, no Mail required and said hi to aruif. A good morning.
