I hear rumours Aardman animations might be relocating from the UK

interesting? where to?
because the lady who liked talking a lot (the director, forgot her name!) tonight made a strong point Aardam vs Pixar, UK vs US

(UK being better of course  )

I loved this! What a cute, charming film. This was genuinely funny and I was laughing throughout. My favourite character was Grandsanta, Bill Nighy just stole all the scenes. Fine voice work from the rest of the cast, although some actors (such as Broadbent) were underused. The film ticked all the boxes: funny, good story, good characters, entertaining and the length was just right.

The animation is amazing and the 3D, while not mind-blowingly fantastic, is still good. The attention to detail is so impressive, I noticed so many little touches just on the clothes and in the background that made me smile.

Fun family entertainment that kids and adults will enjoy. 9/10.

I was disappointed that James McAvoy couldn't attend due to being busy filming, but the premiere was attended by Ashley Jensen, Bill Nighy and the Aardman animation team. But my goodness, the director took absolutely ages to introduce the film!
