Re: Sherlock Holmes -The Game of Shadows
Saw this film tonight in Milton Keynes, thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the final 40 minutes.
Definitely want to see it again, as you do miss some of the dialogue.

Awww thanks Celini but no I'm okay. Just curious to know if Odeon are accepting vouchers for this as it's currrently listed as freelist suspended on their website and Odeon are one chain that strictly enforce that (or at least when I use themCelini wrote:i used 1 voucher at Odeon Holloway, but it's too far for you
(don't you have cineworld vouchers? want one?)

Re: Sherlock Holmes -The Game of Shadows
Restricted vouchers and they would be silly not to accept them as they ran the movie in screen 1 for only 14 people... And this, the day after its release!!!

That was a Saturday, right? Was this a really early showing?Celini wrote:Restricted vouchers and they would be silly not to accept them as they ran the movie in screen 1 for only 14 people... And this, the day after its release!!!
I wonder if Swiss Cottage would be so easy going?

They had alternate screenings, basically 1 screening started every hour or so. I went to the 2.30pm

That wasn't so early then... Still considered peak time. Hope they accept my vouchers.

Re: Sherlock Holmes -The Game of Shadows
Saw this yesterday (very cheaply, too, as we went to a Supersaver screening AND used some Nectar points) with my sister and quite enjoyed it, unlike the first. I think in part I had adjusted my expectations but I also do think this was genuinely the better film of the two. We hoped that by going to the earliest (10.20 am) screening we would avoid the risk of disruptive children; also that any around at that time would be seeing other films. To our horror, however, in our auditorium there was one lady accompanied by no fewer than nine small boys! They were running around before the film started but to their credit, they sat down and stayed silent once the feature started. If only they were all like that!

Re: Sherlock Holmes -The Game of Shadows
I found this film very disappointing. The way the fight scenes were shown didn't fit tone of film at all.

Saw this today. It was a real disappointment compared to the first, although I loved the last thirty minutes or so, the middle part just dragged. And Noomi Rapace was seriously wasted with that bland character. She served as nothing more than a plot device. Such a shame.
