I agree re the door Betty it was really annoying with the light on the screen, glad someone got up and shut it too.Betty Botter wrote:I saw this tonight at a quite full Trafford Centre. Thanks to the guy who got up and shut the door as the light from the corridor obscured the bottom left hand corner of the screen.
I have to agree, I also found Andrea Riseborough annoying keep staring into the middle distance. The concept was good but it just didn't deliver for me, I kept waiting for something to happen. Waste of some good actors.

Re: Resistance
Second viewing!? You'd have to get me seriously wasted to agree to sit through this again. Maybe in some alternate universe this is a good film, but not in this one. I wish I'd stayed home and resisted the urge to go out...weirdfilms33 wrote: it definitely warrants a second viewing

2 words: Utter Crap.
Only just made it to the screening because we'd got carried away with thanksgiving drinks with mates (and no, that wasn't my drunk bf who was falling against weirdfilms' cubicle door
) Seriously, we should have just kept on drinking and not bothered about this film AT ALL. Bf was pinching me about leaving the cinema from 15 mins into the film but, being the optimist I am I insisted on staying, confident that it was going to get interesting "any second now". Good thing I'm not a gambler.
Rating: -5.....yes, minus 5.
I feel robbed. That's definitely 2 hours of my life I'm not going to get back. Wait...even worse. It's 2 hours of our drinking time with good company we're not gonna get back.
At this point I'd like to vote Resistance the worst movie of 2011......wait...unless Antichrist was this year
....I can't remember (blame the cocktails). Trespass was freaking awesome in comparison!!!
I highly recommend you all AVOID AVOID AVOID this film.
Can I also just say:
What a totally RUBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBISH ending that was too....oh wait, the beginning was rubbish so was the middle......DUH!
As a result of this piece of tripe film I have had to promise that we will now only see films that bf has researched and okayed first as today's epic fail was my fault.
Balls!!!

Sorry to have missed you too. We were late, so the room was full by the time we came in, there were a few seats dotted around and four next to c-t. I think she was about three rows from the back in the middle, but we sat in the two seats left on the aisle by the pillar. We did see cliveas come in later than us though.
You don't mean that!weirdfilms33 wrote:.... it definitely warrants a second viewing....

Re: Resistance
Oh dear god........and the funny thing is people are gonna be watching that flipping trailer thinking (exactly what I did)...ooh that looks like a nice wartime romance type movie. I'm such a sucker for those.
You didn't miss a thing.
Does anyone remember The Bold And The Beautiful? That crappy american series where some lass called Brooke married Ridge. Then she got fed up with him and married his brother, Thorne. Then ditched him, went away for a bit then came back and married their father, (insert stupid name here as I can't remember it). Then, after having a couple of kids with him (kids who were now siblings to her first & second husband).......ok, ok....you get how much of a screwed up programme that was. Anyway, my point is, the characteristic way that TBATB always had the actors & actresses staring off into space trying to convey a gazillion feelings/emotions in that monumentally eternal stare......and failing miserably.
This is what goes on in Resistance in BUCKETLOADS!!! Yes. Manure filled bucketloads. All the freaking staring going on there.....I almost wanted to flash em to really have something to stare at...and at least flipping get on with it. No, not really.
Did I mention this movie sucks?
